Pantone color of the year: Green

From Brady Rushing: I have always had an affinity for all things green. Green, as the color, is symbolic of a fresh start - life, renewal, growth and harmony. These symbols are parallel to a new marriage. With two simple words, "I Do", everything changes and a fresh new chapter begins. So, as you might imagine, I was ecstatic when Pantone announced it as the color of the year. I knew in an instant that I wanted to design a wedding in all shades of green!

The guests were invited to the event with invitations from Krisanna Elizabeth. The emerald, gold, and gray ink with handmade paper edges set the mood for the wedding. The table was set with a handmade velvet emerald tablecloth with antique silvers, grays, and white to add contrast to the venue. Handcrafted herb and flower infused honey jars add the perfect sweet touch as wedding favors.

Florals and fashion

Garden District Flowers made the perfect bouquet with lots of greenery and texture, combined with charcoal, gray, and ivory hand-dyed silk ribbons from Anastasia Marie. The bride wore the Santina dress by Watters from Lovely Bride, which added such an ethereal element to the day. The groom wore a gray tux that compliments some of the finer details from the day, including some of the calligraphy from Krisanna Elizabeth

Lots of romance

When drawing inspiration for this shoot, green, with all that it symbolizes, became my muse. I also wanted to create wedding inspiration with a color I don’t often see as the focal color in weddings. Varied shades from emerald to dusty eucalyptus were used and mixed in with neutrals and metallics, a perfect combo that creates a lot of romance.
