free and bright
From Kara of Ivory Blush Photography: Set apart from the traditional wedding and style, I wanted to showcase a wedding of freeness and brightness. When the words ‘love, free, colorful’ come to my mind, I instantly think of hippy and bohemian.
Handmade macrame backdrop
Our model, Molly made the macrame piece for the ceremony backdrop and it just turned out so sweet. It really fit with the bohemian feel and I feel it was rather unique. In a world full of stress and anxiety, and the wedding industry sometimes being overwhelming, I really wanted to create a feeling of freeness, enjoyment, color, and love in this shoot. All these aspects are the real joy of life and should be apart of every wedding day.
bohemian inspired feel
Along with the gorgeous dresses, we had a stunning wildflower bouquet with a unique white Protea in the middle. This flower I had specially requested as it is the national flower of South Africa, where I was born and raised. We also had incredible rental furniture pieces, such as a rattan/wicker chair, which added to the free, bohemian inspired feel.
Organic cotton wedding dress
We worked with a wonderful bridal boutique named High Vibe Bride. All her dresses are handmade from organic cotton and a special silk hemp blend here in the USA. Her dress with the lace sleeves was absolute perfection for the bohemian look I was striving for.
