Dana of https://www.weddingchicks.com/real-weddings/boho-new-hampshire-wedding/ wanted to creatively push the limit while staying on a budget. She sourced a majority of the photoshoot props from Goodwill, the side of the road (which is where the vintage floor polisher was found and spray painted pink), and the iron, radio, fan, and lamp shade were all found at the dump. It’s amazing how pink spray paint and floral elements can transform literal trash into art.
Carmen of Carmen Fernandez Flowers went wild with pink and used blooms with different textures to bring depth to her design. She spray-painted dried pampas and fresh tropical greens and added pops of white for contrast. The tablescape featured this cohesive floral design, in addition to hints of black, bright lemon citrus, and a tinsel sandwich, perfect for Barbie.
Life is plastic, it’s fantastic!
…so much so that Gretah, our model and Barbie for this photo shoot, is aptly named, considering the hotly anticipated release of Barbie is by none other than Greta Gerwig. Two Gretahs (spelled differently, albeit) but this seems like a rather fateful coincidence. Gretah sported multiple different pink bikinis, and a silky white dress, throughout the day. A bridal hat, fringed waist belt, sheer tulle gloves, glam makeup, and bouncy curls accented her Barbie bombshell aesthetic. Jake (aka Ken) rocked a hot pink swimsuit, keeping it simple to let his Barbie shine.
Emilie of Emilie Faith Photography experimented with different angles and posing techniques while using the harsh direct sunlight in her favor. Barbie loves to look at herself, so the creative team incorporated mirror shots and hair brushing to further emphasize the theme. Barbie and Ken ended their elopement day at the Mari-Anne Motel. Long live Barbiecore, forever.
