A heartfelt journey
From Heather Anderson Photography: I would love to say that we created this concept, but the truth is that this concept found us in a beautiful story of serendipity. This Valentines Day styled shoot writes the story of star-crossed love in concept and execution. It is a story of life emulating art as we faced challenge after challenge to make this shoot come together. From being rained out on multiple occasions (in Southern California!) and all of the film being lost in the mail for weeks in route to the film lab. It was nearly the one that got away. And yet when we had almost given up hope, it somehow ended up at the lab on a random Thursday. It’s journey has made it even more heartfelt and meaningful to our creative team.
Two souls coming together as one
Our team took each challenge with an openness, motivation, passion, and fluidity that made us incredibly proud to call these vendors our peers and collaborators. Our stars aligned to tell this perfectly paralleled love story. Our styled story is one of two people who fall in love at great distance through a nostalgic pastime of penned letters. Two souls not sure how to merge their two lives together. Two souls falling more in love with each word written and each word read. Two souls trying to come together but stumbling through every obstacle along the way. Two souls on opposite sides of the globe who nearly got away.
Deeply heartfelt elopement
But that’s the funny thing about love, the more we deny it the larger it grows. It seeps through every crack, every in-between moment until you simply can’t deny it any longer. It is the story of star-crossed love that comes together in perfect serendipity. These images are a snapshot of love finally finding a way, of the celebration of a new chapter, of forging a new path. It captures two merging into one in an intimate and deeply heartfelt elopement.
