Back To The 50's

“Back to 50’s” vintage wedding inspiration shoot, which we organized this fall, in France in the Dombes ponds region. Based on an idea by Vanessa Chambrillon, specialist in vintage tableware Mamzelle Vintage and co-organized by Charlene Esselin Wedding planner Pur Bonheur, this shoot was also able to see the light of day thanks to the talents of around twenty French wedding professionals. By organizing this shoot we wanted to relive a wedding of the 50s at the edge of the water where romanticism, nature and vintage are the key words. The accessory triggering the idea of the shoot are Vanessa’s vintage plates, French earthenware plates from Digoin from the 1950s, all flowery and in pink and blue hues.

The inspiration for the mood board of the shoot therefore started from there. For the shoot, we also wanted to do a lot of staging and decoration work. The back drop in worn wallpaper, the floating flower platforms and the light installations are decorations specially created for the shoot by Pauline wedding designer La Bohème Décoration. To return to the key words of the shoot: Romanticism is an essential point of the shoot: the true love of yesteryear, a complicity accompanied by tenderness and a delicate touch. Love is strong and delicate at the same time.

The bucolic environment: we wanted a bucolic, rural location surrounded by nature. The exteriors of the La Grange Valentin were able to meet our expectations. All of our shooting was done outdoors. The "guinguette" spirit of the 1950s reappears with the light garlands and the table set at the edge of the water. Flowers are also omnipresent for a romantic, fresh and colorful atmosphere. Vintage: the vintage spirit of the shoot is important to transcribe the atmosphere of the 50s thanks to the decoration, the furniture, the dress and suit of the bride and groom, the accessories and of course the table set with beautiful old crockery. The image and aesthetics of this shoot are also very important. Photographer Marie Landoin knew how to play with light throughout the day. From the first flash of the sun, to the warm rays of sunset and even the simple glow of a candle in the night... Without forgetting the black and white images that accentuate and enhance the vintage atmosphere of the 50s.
