Kate Middleton’s Goddess Gown is Beyond Wedding Worthy

By a show of hands, how many of you would say you’d be inspired by a nearly 8-months-pregnant woman in an empire-waisted gown for your own wedding day look? It’s not necessarily the smoke show vision that a lot of brides have for their aisle debut, but OH MY GOD Kate Middleton just changed the minds of every form-fitting-preferred future Mrs. out there. She is always stunning, but somehow took her fashion fierceness to new heights when she opted to wear a goddess-style Alexander McQueen gown to a gala dinner at the royal palace of Norway (she and her hubs are on tour of Sweden and Norway RN).

While it bore hardly any likeness to her Alexander McQueen wedding gown, with all its lace and demurity, the dress still has aisle worthiness written all over it. And we’re pretty sure brides who aren’t even preggo right now would be perfectly happy going out to their appointments in search of similar blush-hued, ethereal gowns. Because it was that good.

The AM look was custom, embellished at the top with a crystal-studded floral motif that highlighted her decolletage. The dress also featured a super flattering empire-line cut (which barely showed off her bump), a soft, floaty chiffon skirt and a cape that basically materialized that mic drop moment for the Duchess. Romantic, feminine, moveable - all things that brides would definitely say they’re looking for in their wedding day ensem. And the soft plush pink color is just the cherry on top of an already perfect picture.

Capes have been getting a ton of attention in the last year, as a chic and powerful variety of modern coverage, and now that Kate - with her Audrey Hepburn-quality panache - is getting onboard with the trend, it’s sure to become even more mainstream and adored. Our opinion? There are no words for how appropriate the caped couture look is for that walk down the aisle. 🙌 🙌 🙌 🙌
