10 Ways We Know Vegas Is a Lucky Place to Say ‘I Do’

Let’s cut to the chase, Las Vegas has evolved tremendously over the last decade, welcoming a host of new and exciting changes, and moving past its Ocean's Eleven days. The destination seriously comes to play when it comes to hosting some of the most incredible wedding experiences for couples who want to make it official in the entertainment capital of the world, and not only for them, but their guests too. I’ll admit that it's not on my list of frequented destinations, but my husband is heading out there in June for my brother-in-law’s bachelor party. And I made him promise to eat at one of Tom Collichio’s restaurants and send me play by plays of the entire dinner experience, in real time, just so I can live vicariously while I sit eating hardly-Top-Chef-worthy cuisine with my baby boy at home.

Anyhow, when we caught up with the high rollers who know everything there is to know about this hyper-high-energy hub, we discovered that we’re barely scratching the surface with regard to the wedding scene and all the dining, entertainment, shopping, outdoor adventure opportunities that the caravan of close friends and family who come along can indulge in both before and after your “I Dos.” So, once you’ve locked down the locale for you and your lover to exchange vows (we’re quite fond of these off-the-beaten-path places), you can get busy planning the rest of your epic event.

Do you have your to-do list all mapped out? Because if not, we’ll hit you with all the hottest things to do RN.

TURN UP YOUR TASTE BUDS

Whether your guests flew first-class or not to make it to your Las Vegas vows, they sure as hell didn’t have world-class eats while they were on their way. So, while they settle into their spot on The Strip, you can make sure they have some beyond-amazing’ bites for the duration. The city has no shortage of phenomenal restaurants and celebrity-run kitchens, like Robert Irvine's Public House, Hugo's Cellar at Four Queens, and Cleo at SLS Las Vegas, so you don’t have to hold back on your rehearsal dinner. Make reservations for the whole crew at any one of LV’s hottest haunts, and you’ll eat like domestic royalty.

TREAT YOURSELF TO SOMETHING SPECIAL

Sure, there are Vegas die-hards who get bitten by the bug and need to come back for that sweet, sweet nectar, but for many, the city is a one and done kind of deal - so much fun to be had it can only happen a handful of times. If you’re getting married and have that YOLO-feeling that only Vegas can make you feel, then while you’re there, treat yourself to some of the finer things. If that means spending a day shopping at the Grand Canal Shoppes, booking one, two, three treatments at the most sensuous spa, or taking in afternoon tea at the Mandarin Oriental Tea Lounge, you’re only limited by your imagination.

TAKE THE PLUNGE WITH YOUR RIDE OR DIE

You’re making the ultimate commitment by marrying your person, so while you’re taking the plunge, why not go all out. Vegas offers some of the most incredible once-in-a-blue-moon opportunities for couples to adventure and trek together before and after they unite as partners for life. From high-flying ziplines to scary AF speed racing on Vegas’s longest and fastest racetrack, whatever activity you and bae bite the bullet to try, you won’t soon regret it. Just think of the stories you can bring home for those who couldn’t make the trip…

PUSH YOUR IMAGINATION TO THE BRINK

Your wedding day should be beyond your wildest dreams, so everything leading up to it and following should be too! As the Entertainment Capital of the World, the city is chock full of fabulous live concerts and theatrics, it’s really your prerogative to decide what to see. From WOW World of Wonder to Le Rêve, there are shows to suit all of your flights of fancy.
