And Just Like That Jumpsuits Were Everything Again

We’ve been talking about dresses a lot lately, and why not? They’re gorgeous, always, but sometimes pants need to get a little love. As such, we were sooo excited to see Etsy come out with its January Trend Guide noting jumpsuits as a bridal trend that will be headlining 2018.

Sure, they’re not a novelty - designers have been turning out trendy bridal jumpsuits for years now - but I think they’ve reached epic status at of late. Case in point, Pronovias’s illusion jumpsuit, which spawned a total landslide of press attention last week. Over 200 crystals embroidered into delicate lace and Chantilly. It’s next-level-nuanced nuptials wear.

Something to match these next-level engagement rings.

Anyhow, we love the liberties designers are taking to give brides an incredible alternative to a traditional wedding gown. From slouchier, wide-legged trouser sets that have a more casual sophistication, to more fitted, high-waisted designs with cigarette pant tailoring - to two-piece, crop top jumpsuits with lingerie-style tops and harem-type bottoms - the options are endless and totally customizable for the free-spirited, chic, modern bride.

An all-black wedding look has the same effect, too….

What’s so special about these contemporary jumpsuits is that they’re so NOT simple. They’ve got embellishments, draping, caping, and applique that liken them to actual wedding gowns, so the bride doesn’t need to feel any FOMO for not choosing a dress. A lot of these truly look like dresses, some even boasting tulle train pants that can give the bride her iconic walk down the aisle - with a full skirt behind her.

We’ve pulled some of our fave looks from Insta, and wanted to share them with ya! If nothing else, just to give you some eye candy to scan before sweet dreams tonight. ((Seriously, all of these are dream-worthy and some)). Make sure you give each of these designers a follow after the fact. They are changing the wedding gown game with their gorgeous creations.

If a jumpsuit doesn’t give you all the feels for your big day, you can certainly entertain it for an killer engagement party look.
