Who knew Nicaragua was this beautiful? Not this girl.

I've done my fair share of traveling, starting out as a tiny person flying solo with my sis between parents. A totally well-put-together and always very nice flight attendant would take possession of us at the gate at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and deliver us at the gate at the Ontario International Airport. We always got our wings and I credit these positive early experiences for setting me up for traveling success. I love to travel and I've never stopped.

From a staycation in Laguna Beach to the mountains in Greece, I'm down. Boutique hotel, resort, time share, Airbnb, VRBO, B&B - WTF IDC. Whatever the accommodations, I'm still down. I love seeing new places, trying new food and meeting new people. Who doesn't? I guess there are some who are wired to stay home, but not me. As the great Mark Wahlberg said in The Other Guys, "I'm a peacock, you gotta let me fly!"

So recently, (as in ... like ... today) a friend of mine sent me a link to a resort in Nicaragua where he'd be staying for the next few days. Travel envy instantly ensued. I innocently clicked the link to take a look. What a bragger?! AMIRITE? This resort is incredible!

Mukul Resort is on the Emerald Coast of Nicaragua. Have you ever seen the Emerald Coast? It's hella better than the Emerald city. If you're like me and had to consult a map to confirm the location of said country (ok, big lie I really had no clue - geography is not my strong point but I make up for it in other areas). Nicaragua is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. It's a Central American nation that's known for its dramatic terrain of lakes, volcanoes and beaches.

Condé Nast Traveler says, "It's both epic and intimate." I don't trust Condé Nast Traveler. Said no one ever. Did I just find the destination for your weddinghoneymoon or maybe just a romantical getaway? You're welcome.
