Christmas Inspired Wedding Ideas

The Holidays are a beautiful time of year full of celebrations of all sorts so why not add your "I dos" to that list! You may not have a huge guest list but a warm and cozy gathering is sure to create wonderful memories.

Just to get the wheels turning, Flowers by Elise put together these Christmas inspired wedding ideas. Full of deep reds, pops of rose gold and a cocktail that you won't want to miss!

When I first began the designing process, all I knew for sure was that I wanted native Colorado grasses throughout the scene.

I imagined a beautiful couple standing in the distance with the straight strands of grass all around them and the bride in a gorgeous Sarah Seven gown. I could not wait for all of my ideas to unfold.

I've known Nicole, the photographer, for years but we had never had the opportunity to work together professionally. Nicole had shot at Cherry Creek State Park in the past so she suggested the location; it was exactly what I had envisioned.

The park aspect was also nice for our sweet dog model, Titan. Titan belongs to Zach and Annie, the couple, and he was able to run around and be a dog during his take fives.

The colors were chosen based on the season. With the crisp chilly air finally hitting us, deep red and the icy sage revealed themselves as the palette. Once that was set, everything began to fall into place

For the table, I wanted to do an elevated centerpiece and although they are beautiful, I hoped to stand clear of the typical tall and round that we see so much of. With my love for lush, green garlands, this idea of an "elevated garland" was born. I was not sure how I was going to achieve this look without hanging it, but with a little help from the men of Flowers by Elise, the perfect structure to house greenery was created.

As for the cocktails, I am currently obsessed with moscow mules. I think most of us are. However, I thought to put a little wintry spin on it. Instead of vodka, we mixed our ginger beer with gin. Then added a splash of cranberry juice and sugared cranberries to finish it off. This combination was everything we love about moscow mules, but with that winter twist I was looking for.
