Farm-to-Table Chateau Wedding

Chateau St. Jean Winery Wedding

We have an incredible treat for you from Matt Edge Wedding Photography, a farm to table wedding that is beyond elegant. You are going to love every last detail. Read on to hear more from the bride and see the entire day here.
From Kaley, the bride - My husband (still so weird to say!) and I had never spent much time fantasizing about what our wedding might be like. Like most couples, our priorities hovered around great food, great wine and the pursuit of earning the “Best Wedding Ever” title from our guests. With a little over 18 months to plan, we gracefully chipped away at our to-do list, honestly enjoying every appetizer, flower, and flatware selection along the way.

on having a long engagements

I hear mixed reviews about extended engagements, but in my experience, as a picky bride, I loved having the time to make every detail exactly how I imagined it. When our big day finally came, we felt relaxed, organized and ready to enjoy the magnitude of what we were celebrating. Our venue was a filled with lush hedging, groomed rose bushes and large magnolia trees.

the decor and venue

We tried to highlight the rustic, French vibe with fresh pops of green in our flower arrangements and subtle gold accents. We loved trying to make our wedding match our venue, rather than the other way around. The combination of our excitement to finally be making our 8 year courtship official and our soft, romantic venue décor made for some great photos. Our fabulous photographer was able to capture the best moments of our day. Still, we never felt removed, or pulled away from enjoying our own event. As many will tell you, the day flies by. Having pictures that remind us of how beautiful our day was is great, but being able to see how much fun we had is what made Matt’s work so special. For all the time and planning that goes into one day, it is wonderful to have photos that we can enjoy together for years after. My only words of advice: get a band if price permits…..it made our day!
