The Bride, Michelle – She is a savvy jewelry making barista with a particular style all to herself. An experience model, the world seems to really be her oyster. Incredibly serene and surprisingly sassy – she seems shy and then you see that twinkle in her eye. Thanks Michelle! We loved your presence. You sizzled! The Groom, Josh – He is a world traveler with mixology skills beyond belief. Known for his charm and happy go lucky lifestyle, Josh brought experienced modeling to the table – for which we have Angie Bray to thank. Josh you were an absolute pleasure to film and photograph. Angie Bray of Angie Bray Make Up Artistry was a mystery to me until the moment cameras started rolling. Lights camera make up action. I will be forever wowed by the gorgeous red-blush tinted hair with its ringlets and waves. The face and hair were met by me with the ‘knock me down with a feather’ response. And she kept it looking good for 5 hours! She made up Michelle in the Papaya Suite overlooking the water. Michelle was rapturously happy with the work Angie did. Her artistry remained beautiful throughout the photo, film, and drone shoots, in the wind! And when finally the Cupcake Champagne cork was popped, Michelle looked as fresh as ever. Trading Post, Islamorada – the Rose Gold Cups by ‘Fred’ like a solo cup only gloriously rosey with a perfect hint of gold – these things are amazing. I’m definitely keeping them. Kona Kai Resort – The Papaya Suite Is a classic French Modern three room suite with a full kitchen. It overlooks the water and has its own particular hammock beach area. It’s the best appointed of the 13 suites and would be the suite of choice for me where I the bride. It’s big enough to really relax in whilst observing the comings and going’s of the guests across the beach and to the point.

You know when things go right, as if the stars are aligned, or Lady Luck shone on you for an instant? When you get a call to film a vow renewal for someone you have worked with in the community and you are falling over excited to do that. With no mention of payment or even marketing opportunity besides your own effort. But you do it anyway. Because you LOVE what you do and know that challenge is yours to beat. No matter what forces are stacked against you. Like a lady knight you go bravely into battle. And sleigh all foes of self doubt, sd cards being full and making sure people don't trip over the power cords at multiple camera positions. Your friends are all there, you've grown with them, your kids have grown with them and here you are running the film angles with the best Sony Alpha and Rode Microphones and Zhiyun Gimbals you can get your hands on zipping in and out of audiences, disappearing behind dance groups, sneaking up on unsuspecting cakes and wedding decor. Annoying the photographers with your silly little on camera video light, jockeying for position at the ceremony, and you hope they forgive you because you are caught up in the alluring swirl of sequins and pearls and beautiful ladies. You can't help it but you jump up and down throwing your arms in the air with the sweet happy birthday girl as she runs off to celebrate her new year of life. The most brilliant stars in this film were, of course the bride and groom, saying their vows again, with the pastor, a very well loved community figure here in the Florida Keys. We begin our vow renewal story on the beach where we've spent many an afternoon lazing with friends. Except this beach front view was transformed, elegantly by Island Life Events's Elizabeth Seligman, this time it was redolent with flowers, guests on bamboo chairs and a drift wood bower......

When Photographer Stacia Morgan called and invited me to join her for a film shoot on the beach at Largo Resort in Key Largo, I didn’t know what to expect. We put too many cameras in the car and drove over. That is the way it was then. Since that day I’ve learned you only really need one camera. But two passionate film makers with a camera means twice the angles and twice the story. And now our team includes one or more film makers. I love the team that works together. Stacia Morgan showed me, quite literally, with her team of vendors, how these things really creatively begin to just take on an energy of their own. And then the energy just flows. Every time we shoot a film we learn something new about the process. This one was a styled shoot at Largo Resort for the purpose of promoting the resort, the vendors. We still love the way the story turned out. The couple were so in love with the film they were in tears about how 'well she caught the character of us both, and she'd never met us before!" We love people. We are known for our talented story telling. That comes from a journalistic career putting together stories about real life. It’s amazing how well story telling caries over form written to visual. I’m overjoyed be the one people call for wedding film. It is such an honour, an unexplainable thrill goes through me every time I find a new couple to film. When I, or the team, hit record and make beautiful moments more legendary, it seems like the world is right within me. Know that, then, as we weave our way through your wedding day gathering the snippets of the best part of the day into your forever story. We are joyfully, blissfully one with the world and with you. There isn’t anywhere else we would rather be. Just right here. Right now. Small things can spark the biggest creative storm. In my case, Stacia Morgan managed to do that with her invite to film with her team on that fateful day. Enjoy the film above. Visit www.skybornvisual.com for more about us.
