People often say, have faith and the rest will follow. We throw the word “ faith” around casually, but when you really think about it, faith is a strange thing, almost like a bizarre concept- especially in the matter of love. Faith in love is the ability to completely trust and have confidence in someone. They say trust is earned, but faith is beyond it. It is something that you carry deep in your guts; it is the essence that will sustain you despite all the seemingly impossible facts around you. Sometimes there is no reasoning behind your faith on someone. You simply just know that they’re it. Just like you know tomorrow is promised as you turn in to sleep and the sun will rise in the East. It’s the kind of fact that lives within you, as natural as your beating heart. Unlike loyalty, faith expects nothing in return. There is no consideration, no question and without a shadow of a doubt. Having faith in someone you love can either be the most difficult thing to do, or the most liberating feeling ever. But one thing for sure, having no faith will render you untethered, floating in a sea of uncertainties with no clear direction in near sight. Faith is the absence of proof, yet you continue to believe. Having faith in someone comes with no guarantee nor certainty, but maybe therein lies the beauty of it. Faith speaks the language of the heart and is the ingredient for a beautiful relationship. It shelters two people when things get rough and blesses them with growth during the best of times. So when you love someone, give them and yourself the gift of faith. It’s truly wonderful to have faith. It’s essentially trust and loyalty combined, maybe even a whole lot more.

Truth be told, it is very easy to mistaken couples as this stunning and flawless people who have nothing but rainbows and pretty colors in their life. But if we have learned anything from our couples over the years, we’d know that it’s far from the truth. We know that for Scott and Krystal, what makes them special is not the fact that they look and seem perfect. Beneath their polished faces, long white gown and dapper suit, they are made of millions of little stories, each one unique and personal to them both. The journey of their coming together consists of the bad, the ugly and the imperfect everything. The story of Scott and Krystal lies beyond just appearances, because they are also made of the love of the people who surround them. They are shaped by the affection of their family, friends, and most importantly, one another. That is how we see all couples, and that too is how we see Scott and Krystal. For that reason, we really hope that this collection of wedding photography serves a purpose that lives above just physical beauty. A great wedding photography should encapsulate our couple at their best forms, but also highlight the things that made them as the unique and warm individuals they both are. So as they set into their seats in this fabulous pinterest-style venue, surrounded by glittering lights and stylish wedding decorations, looking happy and content as the evening came to an end, let’s remember Scott and Krystal as the truly imperfect perfection we’ve seen in a while. May they both continue to stay in love, through the good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between.

Marriage is a commitment, and commitment is something we put our hearts and souls into. And when we put our souls into something, we invest much of our energy and determination into it. We rarely pay attention to our souls, yet we don’t realise that it’s our souls that we bring into our marriages. The soul is what underlies every response and every choice we make in our relationships. What we often do is we silence our souls in order to put a smile on the faces of our loved ones. We avoid conflict by hiding what we truly feel or desire. But, the truth is, when our souls are cast down, it reflects outwardly. Instead of getting into an argument, we get into something like a cold war — we become emotionally distant, isolated, or ignorant. “It is only out of a healthy soul that we can build a healthy marriage.” – Gary Thomas What does a healthy soul look like? A healthy soul isn’t afraid of intimacy, it finds peace in the midst of chaos. A healthy soul looks inward instead of blaming the other, always seeking to improve oneself instead of trying to control the other. A healthy soul forgives, instead of putting all their problems on a shelf and forget them. Healthy souls lead to healthy marriages. When we decide to nurture our souls, we are actually nurturing our relationships, too. When we choose to guard our hearts, we are choosing to pay attention to what flows out of our lives, deliberately choosing what we bring to our marriages. In order for us to commit ourselves to another person, to put our hearts and souls into someone, we need to find that inner peace that exceeds all understanding, so that our souls can hardly be affected by outside circumstances — so that our souls remain beautiful, healthy, and vibrant, as they are meant to be.

You don’t need to know the history or the details of their story, but we’re pretty confident to say that you’ll feel the utter bliss and joy that Michael and Jemma shared on their wedding day- through this gallery. You don’t need to have had the pleasure of her friendship, but you’d say that Jemma the bride looked every bit like a dream herself. Making Michael, a darn good looking fella himself, the luckiest man alive on their wedding day. You don’t need to have been present at The Ungasan Clifftop Resort, but it’s as if the warm breeze swept through your hair and faces as mother nature herself smiled down on them, and along this bunch of gorgeous people in attendance. You don’t even need to hear the audio as Jemma and Michael exchanged their vows in front of everyone they loved, because we can tell you it’s as moving as it is heartfelt and true in their own rights. You also don’t need to have attended their evening reception, as these pics will show you just how festive, warm, and intimate it was - complete with props, lighting, and table settings that had been the meticulous artwork prepared for the lovebirds. You just need to do one thing, and one thing only. It is to enjoy these pics we have here, smile as you scroll along, and know that in the middle of real life, a truly wonderful piece of love story was celebrated and encapsulated for eternity.

Being wrapped in your arms is like being wrapped in the kind of serenity you would only find in nature, a feeling that comes as you look to the green pastures under the daylight, as the sun nurtures every blade of grass within your sight. The kind of serenity that is found when you choose to immerse yourself in this immense beauty with wide eyes and an open heart. These are the moments when you stand on top of the hill, being unable to contain the beauty that you’re witnessing, so you just sigh and let your breath become one with the wind that is brushing past you. And so, in return for that exhale, nature gives you its peace as a free gift for you to inhale, to take with you forward in this journey of life. That same peace you have given to me, and you have given it sincerely, without any pretense. The light that you naturally radiate to those around you makes me see the world as a brighter place. The way you talk about things, the way you see things. You’re like the sun that seeps into the dark places, the dark times when I feel like I am utterly unworthy. You’re like the winds of peace that whisper into my ears, asking me to let go of my fears when I cannot find the words to describe what I’m feeling. I guess it’s true that you are the embodiment of nature, the highest form of creation. You know how this kind of serenity is what always makes people want to set out on an adventure, to “rediscover” themselves in nature? Likewise, with you, I rediscover myself.”
