Hawaii holds an extraordinary place in my heart. Every time I go there I experience something new and spiritual. So when my friend Rebecca Arthurs who is a brilliant film wedding photographer invited me to come to tell her wedding story, I was more than excited.
As we began our descent down into Waipi'o Valley, the steepest grade in the United States, I could feel that we were about to capture something mesmerizing. Over two days I filmed authentic moments paired with a documentary interview of them sharing their story. It's the long pauses between people that allows for honesty to come forth. To me, that's what makes a great film.
