One lucky couple will tie the knot on the Times Square main stage on New Year’s Eve, just minutes before the Ball drops on January 1, 2016, in front of millions of people. George Zimmer, founder of Generation Tux, will officiate the wedding.
Lovebirds around the nation have six weeks to enter the “First Couple of 2016” contest, from September 17 – November 1, by submitting a 60-second video explaining why they deserve to be wed at midnight at the world’s most iconic New Year’s celebration. On November 16, two finalist couples will be announced at www.FirstCoupleof2016.com where America will vote on which pair will be the Official First Couple of 2016 and have a wedding of a lifetime.
Two finalist couples will be flown to NYC where America will vote on who will be married live in Times Square and officially crowned the First Couple of 2016! Both finalist couples will win a luxury trip to NYC and a honeymoon getaway to Palace Resorts in Cancun, Mexico.
