Stay tuned because Sweet Treats is coming up and you will not want to miss it! But before we jump in, we wanted to share this super sweet engagement session with you from Chelsea Nicole Photography. Read on to see what Chelsea says about the shoot.

"From our first meeting I knew this artsy couple (she's an interior-designer and he's an architect) needed an engagement session that showed off their playful, creative personalities. What's their favorite thing to do? Cook! What's their wedding colors? Pink and grey. What were they up for? Anything! Even messing up their entire kitchen for a shoot? Bien sur! (But of course!) I'm quite sure I gave out an audible squeal of delight when I saw that they had done their kitchen with light grey cupboards and soft-pink counter tops. I decided then: we just had to take advantage of this cooking thing they love so much! Since we were also shooting Lani and Francois destination wedding in Lille France, we added a pinch of macaroons, a dash of crepes and a whole lot of pastries to make it all complete. We tied it all together by designing a custom signing book with these images for their guests to leave their own recipes for a delicious marriage!"

From Jayse:
"When I shot this I was thinking of vintage commercials and painted illustrations and used those ideas for the framing and composition of my storyboards. I shot mostly with a shoulder rig and a monopod to impart a bit of a handheld/playful look to each shot. We used raingear for the flour-fight to keep our cameras and lenses from getting destroyed by the fine powder that got absolutely everywhere. It was quite a lot of fun capturing them playing around - it really brings out the love they have for each other and I'm sure it's something we'll always remember fondly; especially Bobo, the dog. He seemed to really love the taste of flour!"
