Engagement sessions are usually pretty straightforward–an outfit change or two, the obligatory hand-up, ring-out, surprised face photo (you know the one), so, not gonna lie, when this gem came across our path, we were pretty stoked! This couple, along with help from their ring designer, decided to celebrate their engagement with a paparazzi-themed photoshoot! Dressed to the nines, our couple went on a “casual” date day but the pesky paparazzi just wouldn’t leave them alone. Great news for us, because they managed to score some pretty sweet pics of the glamourous couple, and even a ring shot or two!
Getting your ring from Honey Designs Jewelry is a full-service engagement experience, not only did she design the custom rings, but she helped organize this entire shoot! Rumor has it that Katie’s Blooms provided the florals for this sweet shoot. We don’t usually name our paparazzi sources, but these photos by Odessa James Photography were so cute, so candid, she needed a shoutout! NOT THE NORM
Jia and Cam wanted to have a creatively unique engagement photo session that was definitely not the norm. I was inspired to help curate this with them since I had designed their custom rings and proposal experience. We wanted the feel to be as if they were having their typical weekend date getaway but being followed by paparazzi. These two have the most fun main character energy that it was so easy to have a great time and pull this vibe off.
GET YOUR GLOW ON
Before their engagement shoot, Jia was pampered to the max by one of the best, Abalene, owner of Organic Glow Skincare & Spa, with a customized spray tan and shellac mani. They started off their date day journey at the beautiful Hotel Covington, over champagne in bed. Naturally, we had to custom finish our champagne bottle from Honeybee Creative and have custom florals by Katie’s Blooms.
ALL THE WAY UP
They had a casual walk around Covington, Kentucky where they continued to be followed and bothered by our photographer. Switching into some amazing threads from two exclusive local Cincinnati businesses, Capsule Woman and Trevor Furbay, they had an intimate cocktail date in Hotel Covington’s gorgeous bar. Wrapping up the date night with a car ride in downtown Cincinnati in Cam’s most prized Lotus, they had a sexy rooftop shoot complete with Jia in the driver’s seat.
