Retro Beach Engagement Photo Outfit Ideas: 1950s Style Guide

Share

1950s beach fashion with dress shoes hat and makeup

If you are looking to go beachy retro like our last bride. The outfit is quite simple yet oh so stylish. The romper that the bride was in is designed by Betsy Johnson. If you are looking to add a pop of color try this one from Alice + Olivia.
On the beach shoes are optional, but if you photograph on the boardwalk – be sure to wear a a higher heel or platform to elongate your legs. We love this black patent leather cork platform that has that retro feel. Be sure to bring a floppy hat like this one from American Apparel. Keep the jewels to a minimum like these small earrings from Max & Chole that are small and classy.
To finish off your 1950’s beachy look be sure to wear a red lipstick and light blush. Be sure to go very light on the blush, otherwise you might look like a clown. Pass on the heavy eye makeup and go for a light mascara. You are all set for your retro beach engagement photos like the ones photographed above by KT Merry.
