1940s Retro Engagement Shoot in Texas: Shannon and Brian’s Love

Share

Kelly Hornberger shared with us Shannon and Brian’s Texas engagement shoot. who met way back in their high school years. Shannon totally had her eye on Brian and hook, line and snagged her man. Now they are in college and planning their wedding. Which, will be at a retro movie theater in Downtown Houston in the summer, bringing their entire theme together!
Here is how they made the shoot happen:
Location: They accidentally took pics in front of a prison metal garage door, which they got in trouble for. But, obviously the big metal gray door was just way too “Al Capone” to pass up. They actually stumbled upon a broken down vintage Jaguar and used it to pose with. Her ring has a sapphire in the center, because it is her favorite stone.
Wardrobe: Shannon wore sweet and lovely dresses, courtesy of Anthropologie, vintage gloves and a cute hat. Brian wore a basic suit, striped tie and black fedora from Target. Because they love them some Frank Sinatra.
Props: The bird statuette will be their cake topper on the wedding day. The colors of the balloons symbolic of their upcoming wedding colors.
