Say Yes to the Dress America Shows Us Brides from Sea to Shining Sea

Say Yes to the Dress America Shows Us Brides from Sea to Shining Sea

I’ve been married for nearly 6 years now, but, for some reason, I’ve never felt the urge to purge Say Yes to the Dress from my life. It’s just too good - the storylines, the stunning dresses, the personalities at Kleinfeld’s, the show has really become like The Office to me. I can watch it for hours on repeat, drift off to sleep with it, and have it on in the background when I’m writing ((because it’s the best of the best bridal content, all of it inspires my wedding writing on the daily)). But since January, the show’s gotten even better with its Say Yes to the Dress: America iteration. The brides that we get to know every Saturday night are actually part of a 52-bride-strong group that got married this past July in NYC. And before they said “I Do,” they said yes to their dress first. The 10-part series, which premiered in January, follows 10 brides who were chosen to represent their great states in the biggest wedding event of the year. They were treated to the FULL Kleinfeld experience, gifted with beyond-beautiful gowns, and granted access to fairy Godpeople like our girl crush of the century, Hayley Paige, for fashion, confidence, and can’t-stay-calm-I’m-getting-married counsel along the way.

Giant weddings are our jam

If you haven’t been following along with us, we’re kind of obsessed with group wedding events. Pi Day, Denver’s Wedding Party event last fall, etc. So, obvi this 52-couple (from all 50 states + Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico) giant wedding in Central Park piqued our interest. Randy Fenoli, the iconic face behind this TLC franchise, not only helped each of the brides find their dream dress at Kleinfeld, but also officiated the wedding for all 52 brides and their partners. Cake Boss’s Buddy Valastro, designer Hayley Paige, and several other friends of TLC ((fashion experts and media personalities Lillana Vasquez and Joe Zee)), were also involved in the event, lending their category expertise.

The series will culminate in a two-hour-long finale special this month - wherein we’ll see all the couples tie the knot for real! But until then, each episode features a new home state pride bride find ‘the one’ at Kleinfeld Bridal.

Reasons to watch.

And/or binge on the TLCgo app. Aside from the fact that it’s TLC and weddings begin and end with this network (not even kidding, one of my final papers in college was angled around the evolution of the wedding industry through a reality TV lens and TLC, most specifically #aweddingstorywasmyfavorite)

He is the soul of the show and knows exactly what his brides want. Plus, his ambushes are everything.

If Randy is the soul of the show, HP is the heartbeat ((and brainpower, creativity, all of it, too!)). Not only does our favorite bridal designer custom create each bride’s veil, she also surprises a lot of the brides during their appointments. The bride from Pennsylvania is #allofus.

And what the show stands for - brides finding their dream dress, the one that sets their hearts on fire. The episodes where a bride comes in thinking she knows what she wants ((thinking of you, Arizona!)), but then falls in love with something unexpected. It’s what we live for.

Tune In or We Can't Be Friends.

Kidding. But, really, the finale episode, the one where everyone gets married, airs Saturday March 14th at 8/7c on TLC. So, definitely make sure you’re watching!! We will be 😍.
