Honestly, more than the dress, more than the rings, going shopping for your wedding shoes has to be the most exciting part of wedding planning. Just think about it. There’s probably a designer shoe you’ve been coveting for ages or a fancy pair that you just wouldn’t have the right occasion for…well, now is the time! But, shoe shopping for a fall wedding? Now, that has its challenges. It’s super easy to style a wedding gown with a strappy sandal but how do you make sure you still look cute but don’t get frostbite…it’s a real dilemma. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite options for this fall/winter wedding season, from studded boots to glittery mules we’re sure you’ll find your dream shoes here!

Or, want to design your own wedding shoes? These brides did and we’re obsessed. Once you have your shoes on-lock, take a look at 10 of our favorite wedding accessories brands. And don’t forget your fur babies when you’re accessorizing, you want them to look great in the pics too!

Boots & Booties

Okay, so boots are obviously the most practical shoe for a fall or winter wedding. Thankfully there are a ton of cute options. Whether you want something demure like a bootie or you want to dive headfirst and rock some serious statement boots, the choice is up to you.

Slingbacks, Strappy Heels, & Mules

Depending on the weather where you’re getting married, it may be just as practical to wear some strappy heels. But, going with something closed-toed is always the best option for fall and winter. Also, consider the material and invest in a pair of shoes that won’t stain immediately if it gets wet.

Pumps

Your average pair of pumps would also work for a fall or winter wedding, as long as it’s not snowing or you’ll be spending most of the day indoors. Don’t be afraid to get playful with the texture and color. Shoes are a great opportunity to express yourself on your big day!
