Wintery Fall Wedding at Wadley Farms

Kristina Curtis Photography

This adorable bride and groom were best friends for two years before they decided to give dating a try, and it was obviously meant to be. Mike proposed to Laurel on a dock at Malibu Lake in California at sunset. Their wedding was just as romantic. The reception at Wadley Farms in Linden, Utah was decorated with red, orange and purple florals and fall decor with fresh fallen snow as bonus feature! Don't miss any of the breathtaking detail from this wintery fall wedding by viewing the full gallery here, all beautifully captured by Kristina Curtis Photography.

From Kristina Curtis Photography:We adored the bridal party attire {especially the pockets in all the dresses}, the bridesmaids and brides shoes, Wadley Farms as their chosen venue to celebrate with their guests {one of our all-time favorite rustic wedding venues}, and just about everything else! All the flowers are designed in a lush fall color palette of butterscotches, oranges, reds, plums, beiges, and browns.  And I must say, the snow had such a beautiful effect on this fall wedding!

Calie Rose Floral & Event Design used plum seeded eucalyptus, plum artichokes, smoke bush, hanging red amaranthus, safari sunset, kangaroo paws, orange amaryllis, mango mini calla lilies, bicolor roses, spray roses, three varieties of orchids, ranunculus, dahlias, pin cushion protea, chocolate cosmos, scabiosa pods and twigs to create these amazing bouquets!

From the Bride:Honestly, I had the whole day pretty planned out. The only thing I would recommend to brides who are planning their weddings in the winter, in a place where the weather could possible effect your day, consider pictures before the day of the wedding. Although I was so against foregoing the traditional "see the bride only on the wedding day" I kind of wish I maybe did a round of pictures before the wedding day at the place of the ceremony.

On the Venue: Wadley Farms was originally constructed in 1869 and sits atop 20 acres of lush gardens, beautiful vineyards, and fragrant orchards. Wadley Farms is also conveniently located in Utah County, at the base of the breathtaking Mount Timpanogos and only five miles north of Provo, 20 miles south of Salt Lake City. Its pastoral landscapes are the perfect backdrop for festive days spilling into evenings, filled with romance and a fairy tale like setting.

The fabulous burlap centerpieces were constructed by the brides brother-in-law, each with its own unique stamp. The bride and groom created the rest of the centerpieces using lace, burlap and twine to decorate mason jars that sat on rustic wooden bases. The centerpieces were filled with gorgeous flowers which gave the tablescapes the perfect pop of color!

I did have a budget before I started planning my wedding. And at the end of it all I only went over by a little. The key to planning my wedding budget was to think where I wanted to spend the bulk of my money — what aspects were most important to me and which vendors I just NEEDED to have. My priorities were 1) My photographer and 2) My Flowers. These two things I didn't settle for anything less then what I wanted, and let me tell you, my Pictures and my Flowers were the most amazing part of my wedding day.
