From Dolce Designs:I adore all things vintage...so for a holiday bridal shower shoot I just had to incorporate the opulent, lavish style of the Victorian Era. I love the pink, gold and blue ornaments that used to adorn trees mid century, like the ones my grandma had, and carefully would bring out each year for me to decorate her tree. Those ornaments inspired this vintage holiday bridal shower and I hope they can inspire you to incorporate some of these elements which bring so much style and elegance to any party.

For decor, Denise and Priscilla of Bee Lavish Vintage Rental set up this cozy, yet stylish entertaining room in the 1920's original cottage that is their shop. Sheer drapes, white Christmas lights, and a garland of tiny pom poms decorated the windows, and a beautiful chandelier was hung above the table for an elegant touch.

The chair backs were adorned with simple ribbon and gorgeous gift tags from Anista Designs! They were so pretty I wanted to use them in an original way that would show them off. I would also hang these tags on a tree as ornaments if you wanted to use a Christmas tree for decor. Also, an inexpensive way of adding decorations is to beautifully wrap some empty boxes and place by the mantel or under the tree. A big apothecary jar full of 1940's German ornaments complete the look

DIY cupcake wrappers: 1) Download any cupcake wrapper template found online, and carefully cut out. 2) Trace template on to the back of cardstock that matches your colors and decor, then cut out. 4) Bring together the edges, overlapping by an inch or more, to make a perfect cupcake shape. Hot glue the outer edges and hold for a second. You can also use double sided tape. 5) Place cupcake wrapper on a flat surface to make sure it is stable.

Hint: Because cupcakes will eventually stain the paper with any oil in the batter, its best to place cupcake into an additional white cupcake paper (the ones you bake them in) before inserting into pretty cupcake wrapper. This will provide another barrier and keep your wrappers lovely!
