What We Are Watching Right Now

what-we-are-watching-right-now Photo:

We're a TV watching bunch, that's for damn sure. We can't deny a little water cooler chat after we catch up on our favorite episodes. We thought it would be fun to share what our staff is watching and try to convince you to watch the shows WE have personally chosen. Read on to hear each individual plea. Let us know what you're watching in the comments below.

Davina

Wedding Chicks Davina's favorite shows.

The Sopranos - It's a classic series, and said to have transformed television. James Gandolfini (R.I.P.) is phenomenal in the series. Nothing like a little sex, drugs, and mobsters. Broad City - Not for everyone, but I personally think these two girl comedians are transforming the stigma on female comedians, and the typical "stoner" persona. Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson are also just really interesting people and academically intelligent! Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath - Every episode blows my mind more than the previous. If you aren't educated on Scientology and the repercussions you definitely need to brush up on the last season and a half, it goes there.

Davina's Watchlist
The Sopranos (HBO)
Broad City (Comedy Central)
Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (A&E)

Julie

If you fall in the comic con nerd/geek basket and you haven't watched Firefly you might want to fix that. A Joss Whedon cult classic, this is a sci-fi Space Western, yeah that's right! Staring Nathan Fillion (Castle), Alan Tudyk (A Knights Tale and a voice on just about every animated movie) and Morena Baccrin (Deadpool) You will love it and then hate that there is only one season... plus a movie. Con Man is an Indiegogo funded web series created by and starring Alan Tudyk (Firefly) follows a sci-fi actor on his misadventures through numerous comic cons. I love this show so much and my nerd heart loves seeing all the actors they were able to pull in to make appearances. Again if you are a nerdy geek or a geeky nerd this show is so for you it will make you laugh your face off! Next, Speechless. John Ross Bowie (Big Bang Theory) and Mini Driver (Good Will Hunting) play the hilarious parents of two able bodied children and a son with cerebral palsy. I love the cast of this show and how this dysfunctional family functions in the most perfect way possible. The comedic timing of this show is spectacular, watch if you need something to brighten up your day. Handmaids Tale. I binged this show in less then a weekend. Elisabeth Moss (Madmen) plays such a reserved yet rebellious Offred that I couldn’t stop. This show will break your heart with how underfoot the women seem to be; And yet the smallest form of rebellion from any of the characters will have you cheering and ready to join any and all women based protests.

My favorite posts. So I have two....I’ve been wanting to have a vow renewal ever since I started working here and these two have been in the back of mind for awhile. The beach anniversary shoot represents my vow renewal goals, and the farm wedding is more like my reality but equally romantic.

Jocey

Wedding Chicks Jocey's favorite shows.

"My shows will make you forget about your day and basically turn you into a television zombie. Definitely not the healthiest use of your time, but incredibly entertaining."

Fargo (Hulu)
Mr. Robot (Hulu)
Outlander (Starz)
Big Bang Theory (Hulu)

Erica

Wedding Chicks Erica's favorite shows.

Your TV viewing should be balanced, like everything in life. Take time to be mindless and watch rich women travel the world and argue like toddlers, then scare the crap out of yourself by watching potential terrorist plots and imaging getting accidentally tied up in a money laundering ring, and then end the day with some relatable funny old man getting himself into cringe-worthy situations. Real Housewives of NJ - there's no doubt these women have ties to the mafia and it's fun getting an insider look at how different some of these people's life's are from yours. Homeland -Who doesn't want to watch a show about a badass female lead saving the US and it's allies from terrorist attacks.

Erica's Watchlist
The Real Housewives current season - NJ & OC (BRAVO)
Ozark (Netflix)
Homeland (Showtime)
Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO)

Megan

Wedding Chicks Megan's favorite shows.

Orange is the New Black is my current obsession. Learning about life in prison and all the drama that goes on is so interesting and seems so real. This show is very unpredictable and 100% binge-worthy. I watched the first season of Stranger Things in a day in a half. This show is incredibly suspenseful but not in a way that actually scares you. You'll never predict the end of Season 1 and it will leave you with so many questions you might obsess over it for a day or two. Season 2 releases this Halloween so it is the perfect time to watch Season 1 if you haven't already! Rick and Morty is a show you watch when you just want to laugh and relax. Each episode is always different and you never get bored watching it.

Megan's Watchlist
Orange is the New Black (Netlflix)
Stranger things (Netlflix) (new season comes out on HALLOWEEN OMG)
Rick and Morty (Comedy Central)

If you need an escape from your reality, you're definitely going to want watch my shows. They are the best shows. There are no better shows on TV and I know shows. Believe me. I watch more shows than anyone and I am the best at watching them. You won't find a better show-watcher. You're the Worst - these people are literally the worst people you've ever seen. Horrible, but yet still dysfunctionally almost likable. The Good Place - Kristen Bell is just the most adorable rotten little human you've ever seen and Ted Danson reminds me of my dad so I just love him. Atlanta - just watch. Donald Glover is a genius. This is Us - align this show with any personal emotions and it's a fantastic release.

Ian

Wedding Chicks Ian's favorite shows.

The shows I picked are binge-worthy entertainment that can be enjoyed by people who like different shows. Rick and Morty along with Archer are hilarious shows that will make you laugh the entire way through, while learning all the quotes and one liners you would ever need. Stranger Things and Sons of Anarchy will draw you in, and make you feel like you are a part of their lives. All are great shows and depending on what mood your in, you can find something that makes you happy!

Kellie

Wedding Chicks Kellie's favorite shows.

Oh and I love Girlfriends Guide to Divorce! Shameless and Casual are both darker than dark comedies that capture the heart and mind. If you like to crack jokes at inappropriate times, they are definitely the shows for you. Girlfriends Guide to Divorce is fun for anyone going through or has gone through a divorce. Also, just an awesome show to watch with your closest friends and a bottle of wine.....or 2! All the "feels". Grey's and This Is Us are your typical feel-good dramas where there won't be one single episode you don't cry.
