BEER PONG ANYONE?
Chris and I met in Cabo in 2010 when we were nineteen years old. He was there with his family and I was with mine, and we met over a game of beer pong on his last night in town. From there, we stayed in touch over the years as I returned to school in Florida and he went back to Kentucky, exchanging millions of calls and texts. Then as graduation crept around in 2013, he asked how I would feel about him moving to Florida! He got a job two hours away from me and we went back and forth every weekend for a year until he finally got a job in my town and we could live together.
RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME
In 2018, we embarked on a trip to our favorite state, Colorado. There was a clock tower that I had done research on and wanted to explore, so Chris surprised me with a tour. As we stood in the elevator on the way up to the tower, I was preparing to see some great views of the city. As the doors opened, Chris grabbed my hand and lead me to the face of the clock surrounded by rose petals, and got on one knee! My favorite place with my favorite person, after all these years it was coming full circle. After sobbing and hugging for what felt like an eternity, it was the most perfect evening.
As we started planning our special day, we thought it only made sense to bring our people to the place where it all began, Cabo San Lucas! We expected somewhat of a small destination wedding but were filled with joy when over 140 of our loved ones made the trip to paradise. We all enjoyed a crazy week of pool parties at Grand Solmar Playa Grande, ending with the most picture-perfect wedding day at Sunset Mona Lisa. It was an experience that myself, Chris, and everyone else will always remember and gives me goosebumps to this day. I have Cabo to thank for the love of my life and it will always be our second home.
