Wedding Video Services Hurricane Irene Just Couldn’t Touch

Kate is an Event Planner at the very posh A Catered Affair in Boston. She decided to have a relaxed country wedding in Vermont as a departure from her normal day to day work. Kate and her fiance Chris were charmed by the natural beauty of Riverside Farms in Pittsfield, Vermont. Does that town sound familiar at all? It was one of the hardest hit casualties of Hurricane Irene. Kate had one of the last weddings there before the devastating effects of the storm. Kate and Chris' wedding was captured by Storymix Wedding Video Services before Hurricane Irene before wreaked havoc on Vermont.

Kate and Chris Romantic Wedding Video at Riverside Farms Pittsfield Vermont from Ariane on Vimeo.
In the video, you can see the beautiful setting of her unique wedding - the blue dress is a start - and the charm of the Farm. They spent the entire week in Vermont starting with a tubing trip and culminating in a farmhouse reception. Guests flew in from all over the country to spend several days together. It was very important to Kate and Chris that they capture every moment. In the hands of their friends, Storymix cameras were there for all the action.
The amazing story went on behind the scenes a few weeks later. The beautiful covered bridge was washed away in the storm, and all access to Pittsfield became impossible. The owners of the farm brought in helicopters to all their guests to leave town! Most of the town was stranded for seven days.
Amazingly, the recovery has been quick. Although the bridge washed away, most of the historic beams were recovered and the rebuilding has already begun. The farm itself was spared damage and they were open for events again within a couple of weeks. Thanks to Kate and Chris and their wedding party, the video clips allow for Riverside Farms to show everyone the beauty of Pittsfield before Hurricane Irene hit.
