Dress: Dulce, $800
Watters, thank you for blessing us with some new online eye candy - especially right before bridal market (we honestly couldn’t wait another week for newness). As the weather continues to get nicer and nicer in NYC, I’ve been lusting after lightweight, moveable moments in fashion; and these new dresses, which are flexible, comfy, and flowy AF, have arrived right in time for spring and summer bridal season.
Just this week, the women-owned bridal brand unveiled its first-ever e-commerce site and fourth brand extension in the By Watters collection. By Watters features gorgeous aimed-for-the-aisle looks that budget and style-savvy brides alike will undoubtedly die over, especially if they have a late summer wedding and may have missed the boat on the typical in-store ordering situation - a process that can take 4 to 6 months, even longer, to deliver a dress to an anxious bride. Or not even, really; maybe it’s just a spontaneous shopping excursion that brings a bride (who might already have a dress for her wedding) to the site and gets her thinking “I never saw myself as a two dress kind of girl, but damn, these are so good, I’m throwing the OG plan out the window.” #becauseWTFN?
Dress: Wess, $350
It’s easy to get swept into this mindset, too, because the stunners aren’t especially expensive (they start at $250+) and since they’re of-the-moment, RTW bridal offerings, they can work incredibly for events that take place in, around, and BEYOND a wedding. We’re always looking for places to recommend to our brides for those pre and post-aisle occasions, engagement parties, bachelorettes, after-parties, and honeymoon hopping, so this new digital destination dropped at the most opportune time.
We’ll show off some of the pretty in just a sec, but there’s also something for bridesmaids to get in on with this .com launch. Select styles, 11 looks in particular, from the Wtoo by Watters range can now be shopped on Watters.com (because sometimes it just feels right to go straight to the source, instead of a third-party retailer; not always, but sometimes!). The colors and the silhouettes are everything you can expect from Watters; I’ve already sent the link to two of my friends who are in the market for maids-y things, because word of mouth is major.
Dress: Franklin, $235-$260
We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that along with the e-comm venture, the website has gotten a complete refresh - and it’s SO strong. According to a press release from the brand, “all four brands under the Watters umbrella (which now includes By Watters) have been brought to life via new logos, layouts, and colorways on their own microsites.” And the new design moves are a testament to the impressive, confident, and forward-thinking ideology of Sydney Watters Dunbar - the brand founder’s 24-year-old daughter who’s been style directing for the company for some time. She knows the millennial bride so well and lends her understanding to the Watters world everyday; it’s a great thing, too, because apparently she’s being groomed to take over the family business. She will KILL IT.
Here are some of our loves. Shop them now!! Like really, NOW NOW.
