Intimate Wedding Vacation

Trent and I wanted our wedding to be a small and personalized celebration, something more than just one night of festivities. We wanted our guests to feel like they were on an intimate, luxurious vacation with us.

Upon our guests’ arrival in Hawaii, they were greeted with personalized welcome bags filled with Maui-related goodies. The welcome bags really helped us set the tone for a personalized and luxurious vacation celebration for our guests!

Tropical Elegance

I chose soft blush colors of pinks, grays, platinum, and silvers. But, of course, being in a place with such lush florals, I wanted to emphasize and infuse tropical unique flowers with our elegant, formal wedding attire.

I wore a high-necked Allure Bridals lace gown – channeling Grace Kelly’s wedding dress – which I customized with additional beading and a formal Cathedral veil. I carried a bouquet of tropical King Protea.

Budget Friendly Destination Wedding

Contrary to popular belief, a destination wedding can really save you money. I bought our travel tickets as a group with Hawaiian Airlines, saving us $300 per person. The Four Seasons, Wailea, didn't charge for "extras" like parking fees. This saved us over $1,000.

Because there's an abundance of tropical, unique flowers locally in Hawaii - what would've cost me over $8,000 for florals in Idaho cost less than $2,000!Such great wedding insights! To read how this gorgeous destination wedding saved Tent and Jennifer money keep reading below!

Read on to see how much this vintage luxe Hawaiian wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

We also saved on the fresh seafood we served - what would've been $5,000 on the Mainland was under $2,500 in Hawaii. And, because we were guests at the Four Seasons, Wailea, the concierge assisted me in all the planning. So, we didn't have to hire a wedding planner, which saved us at least $3,000. We also saved nearly $2,000 by bringing our Idaho photographer and HMUA instead of hiring local professionals - and had the added bonus of familiarity. All together, what would've cost over $30,000 cost under $20,000 for our Hawaii wedding. And we loved every minute!
