Wedding fashion

From Mandee Johnson Photography: Heather rocked a vintage wedding gown, a modified from Kite & Butterly designed specifically for her measurements and paired it with comfy clogs from Bryr. Oh, and lest we forget the embossed sole pads with their wedding hashtag "Dude You're Getting a Sundell" Jacob took Heather’s advice and bought a tuxedo that she suggested he could wear all the time. He chose a blue tux from Trumaker. Although, Heather has yet to let him wear it again. Heather's maid of honor's wedding gift were custom vintage denim jackets embroidered with the star chart on the back of the jackets with our initials and wedding date on the front!

viNTAGE MAGICAL VIBE

After a few months of searching for their creative vision. They ultimately landed on a vintage and magical vibe that reflected their love for art deco and astronomy. Heather loves astrology and Jacob loves magic, so incorporating a tarot reader and close-up magician were special touches. The couple decided It was important to have a very meaningful, communal, and traditional ceremony juxtaposed with a more unorthodox, fun reception party with no formal dinner. Overall, they wanted it to feel very comfortable and intimate, which is why the Ruby Street was such a perfect venue . It feels like home…. a very well styled home.

Stargazing cocktails

Their signature cocktails were designed by the best man, who is a former mixologist and were pre-batched the night before with all the groomsmen. In line with the celestial theme, they named the drinks after places where they go stargazing.

Designed by the groom

Jacob designed everything from our save the date email, Ketubah, playing card favors, down to every food name card and even the yarmulkes. The invites were gorgeous. They decided to use the star chart of the day, time, and location of our wedding. The invites were letter-pressed with gold foil to make the stars and constellations pop! Jacob also designed a custom deck of cards to fit the magic/celestial theme with quotes from their favorite philosophers, scientists and poets on the aces. One of their friends, illustrator Vick Trola, added illustrations of Heather and Jacob as the kings and queens and Jacob’s friend/wedding magician Rob Ramirez designed a special card into the deck where the King and Queen of hearts merged into one card with both Heather and Jacob on the card.
