It’s been a little while since we talked about some of our favorite shoes, so we figured today would be a great day to about somethings new and shoe! And really, no bridal brand does it better than Badgley Mischka. The design duo has made their mark over the past two decades with glamorous, stylish and wearable evening wear and accessories - they’ve also got quite a few celebrity fans to their name. When you rock the red carpet on the reg, why wouldn’t you also have some of the best fashion out there for brides, after all, a wedding day is pretty much every girl’s Grammy, Emmy, Tony, or Academy Awards, right? Their gowns are beyond, and we’ll get to that 2019 lineup at a later time, today it’s all about what goes on your feet!
I wish there was a statistic for how many brides actually walk down the aisle in Badgley Mischka ((and RN, we’re just talking about the shoes)), because I’ve known lots of brides in my 30 years of life, and have seen at least half of them step into BM shoes the morning of their weddings. In the industry we have a habit of using the phrase ‘go to’ when it relates to designers, venues, color palettes, but they’re truly the best representation of a go-to when it comes to shoes. Not only do they offer the widest selection of shoes we’ve everrrr seen, they also have something to perfectly complement any wedding dress. The overall brand aesthetic might be 1940's-style Hollywood glam, but even brides who don’t dieeeee for drama can wear the shoes and still feel stunning, simple, streamlined, and elegant.
From glitter-guised ballet flats, to embellished evening shoes, delicately-sparkled d’Orsays to pointed-toe pumps, Badgley Mischka’s bridal shoes are made of the finest materials with expert craftsmanship and hella high-style to make your wedding day extra special (all for under $300).
Yes, we said there were flats, and we’ll obvi be featuring some of those in future relaxed shoe//reception roundups, but mama wants to talk about heels this time around. Also, see how this earlier point ‘perfectly complement any wedding dress’ comes to fruition! These dresses tell the stories of several different brides, but they all look major paired with their Badgley Mischkas.
VANILLA POINTED TOE EVENING PUMP
Pointed shoes… always. We love how the crystal toe ornament adds just a kiss of bling to an all-lace look #mixedmediadoneright. And the soft satin ruching is so classic and sophisticated, especially when opposite embroidered lace.
Venus Strappy Embellished Evening Shoe
Getting serious modern good witch Glenda vibes from this antique gold and glitter lace tulle ball gown. And the whimsy goes soooo well with these crystal-encrusted asymmetrical strappy evening shoes in a subtle matte metallic. The 3D floral crystals are so chic and feminine, and that tiny crystal ring on the heel bottom is such a good touch!
Vogue D'Orsay Evening Shoe
If you asked 10 brides if they’ve seen this shoe before, we bet at least seven say they have! It’s pretty iconic, and Instagrammable AF. But what we love about this new iteration is the wrap around crystal detail and the fact that it’s not just a simple pump, it’s d’Orsay.
Veil T-Strap Evening Shoe
If we had shoes like these, we’d pull our dresses up, sit down on the floor, and spend hours looking at them, too. And what’s great is that you can wear them under a long gown (if it’s flexible and easy to move in) and switch to something short for the reception to show them off. Statement T-straps command some stares.
Venom D'orsay Embellished Evening Shoe
Printed organza say hello to crystal-embellished d’Orsays, the ornamental floral ankle strap picks up those floral motifs from the gown gorgeously. And yes, of course we looked at her dress, and that hair🔥, but what we’re continuing to look at are those nearly 4-inch heels and the sparkle round her ankle.
