Tie The Knot In Paradise At The Mulia Resort & Villas In Bali

Get married at the Mulia Resort & Villas Nusa Dua, Bali

If you’re looking for the perfect destination beach wedding then take this journalist's first hand advice. I flew halfway around the world to find out what the beautiful island of Bali has to offer and you won’t believe just how picture perfect this wedding hotspot truly is!

Named by Condé Nast Traveler USA as one of the top beach resorts in the world, The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas in Nusa Dua, Bali will simply take your breath away. With three resort options to choose from, the Mulia spans across a whopping 75 acres. Despite the daunting size, they still offer unparalleled service to each of their guests, you'll feel like part of the family the moment you arrive.

Whether you’re planning a romantic elopement for two on the beach or a lush wedding with all your nearest and dearest, the Mulia will go above and beyond to make your destination wedding dreams come true. Here are a few of my favorite reasons why you should say, “I do”, at The Muli in Bali (AKA heaven on earth!)

relax in comfort and style

It didn’t take long for me to get settled into my suite at the Mulia. From the moment I walked in the door I was blown away by how spacious and beautiful the suite was, but my favorite part was the breathtaking ocean view right off my balcony.

In terms of luxury, you can’t go wrong at the Mulia. Each suite comes with individualized butler service so you can sit back and relax the moment you arrive as your amazing butler will be more than happy to unpack for you. As if that’s not enough, each suite also comes with a private jacuzzi tub on the patio overlooking the tranquil Indian Ocean, which for me was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of activities.

A little further from the beach, but not lacking any of the amenities are the ultra private and luxurious Mulia Villas. I was able to stay in one of these villas towards the end of my trip and I have to say, I felt like a celebrity! With my own private pool, tranquil outdoor shower, luxurious jacuzzi tub and one of the most incredible views I could ask for, I was swept off my feet in terms of luxury and service.

Whether you stay at your own private villa or oceanfront suite, you'll have access to all six pools across the three resorts, complimentary fitness classes, a full gym and a private white sand beach. It's the perfect romantic getaway for newlyweds and honeymooners alike! Check out all their accommodations here.

Eat amazing FOOd from all over the world

Plan your rehearsal dinner at one of the four incredible restaurants at the Mulia Resort & Villas. Whether you prefer Japanese, Chinese, Pan-Asian, Mediterranean, Italian, or Western there is something for everyone. Each restaurant offers a different cuisine and unique dining experience. Not to mention how insanely good they are! I had a hard time picking just one favorite so I settled on two:

Table8 is a unique restaurant that’s a spectacle for all the senses! Grab a bowl of their all-you-can-eat Dim Sum and sit amongst the beautiful Chinese inspired art and Porcelain Pagodas throughout the restaurant. Oh, and don’t forget your signature blooming flower tea! Their Kung Fu Tea Masters train for at least a year to learn the art of pouring hot water like a kung fu master! So bring your cameras and prepare for a visual frenzy of artistic movements that will have you asking for refills all night long.

The Cafe is one of the most sought after restaurants on the island and for good reason. Their buffet style dining features seven different cooking theaters, each serving up international culinary favorites from all over the world! Walk around and explore all the options before you get started because there’s more food here than you can even imagine. Did I mention they also have a spinning ice cream station for the kiddos? Get pampered at the spa

A world-class resort isn’t complete without a world-class spa! The Mulia Spa offers a range of traditional Balinese, Asian and Western treatments and techniques to help soothe and relax. It’s also home to Bali’s first and only ice fountain room, which sits at a cool -1 degree Celsius for the ultimate cold therapy experience.

We spent our spa day getting pampered from head to toe with their fully customizable Lifestyle Wellness Program: a full or half day program featuring meals, fitness classes, hot and cold therapy sessions and signature spa treatments all suited to your individual needs. After 30 + hours of traveling, I couldn’t have been more excited for a full day at the spa! For my treatments, I enjoyed a traditional full-body deep tissue Balinese massage, followed by a black tea and honey body scrub and a moisturizing facial. It was heavenly!

Believe me when I say a little pampering goes a long way! I would highly recommend booking a treatment or two with your wedding party for some much needed R&R.  See all the spa treatments they have to offer here.

have the wedding of your dreams

The Mulia will help take the guesswork out of planning a destination wedding from afar. They have absolutely everything you need to plan the wedding, elopement or vow renewal of your dreams. From gorgeous floral filled ceremonies to custom made wedding cakes and favors, the amazing staff at the Mulia will do everything they can to make sure your day is picture-perfect from beginning to end. Chapels

The Mulia has three on-site chapels available for your blissful I dos. My favorite being the stunning glass Eternity Chapel, which can accommodate up to 250 guests and looks as though it's floating upon a serene, blue lake. For intimate weddings of 40 or less, the Harmony Chapel sets the scene with a dramatic glass backdrop that looks out over the pristine Nusa Dua Bay.

Gardens

The Unity and Eden gardens are both unique and beautiful venue options and can accommodate much larger weddings and receptions of up to 1,000 people. The Unity Garden in particular is my favorite because of its gorgeous beachfront location!

Beach Weddings & Vow Renewals

Walk barefoot along the soft sandy beach of Nusa Dua Bay for your wedding day! Their beach wedding package can accommodate up to 20 guests and includes everything you need for an intimate ceremony, or romantic vow renewal for two.

Balinese Wedding Blessing

Experience the rich culture and tradition of Bali with a traditional Balinese wedding blessing! With up to 100 guests, the bride and groom will experience the royal treatment as they’re carried away on Balinese palanquins to their lavish Balinese reception. Filled with tradition and culture, this is what destination weddings are all about.

Stay and explore for your honeymoon

There is so much to do and see in Bali, you’ll definitely want to stay and play for your honeymoon! Head on over to Ubud for some amazing shopping at the local market and boutiques, then go on a tour of the John Hardy workshop and learn how they make their gorgeous handcrafted jewelry right in the heart of Bali.

For the more adventurous, swing on by the sacred Ubud Monkey Forest for a must-have photo op with the rambunctious but adorable monkeys. I also highly recommend a visit to the breathtaking Uluwatu Temple at sunset for their famous Kecak fire dance show.

While I was there for only five days, I still fell head over heels in love with the beautiful Mulia Resort and the amazing culture and people of Bali. A special, heartfelt thank you to The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas for bringing us along!
