This Is How You Shop For Your Wedding Dress

You know that love at first sight feeling? Maybe it happened with your S.O., maybe it happened with your wedding venue, maybe it happened when you first stepped onto the campus you eventually chose for college (where you MET the love of your life). Well, we had all the tingly feels about a bridal salon - and chances are you will, too, when it comes time to find the dress of your dreams. Yes, the dress needs to fit, flawlesslyyyy we might add, but so does the shopping experience. And at Bridal Reflections, you can pretty much count on finding your fit. The family-owned, family-operated trifecta of bridal salons sponsored this post, and they have a trunk show coming up in August that you cannot miss! ((Don’t stop reading if you’re a bridesmaid, either, because this one’s for you!))

There’s something so special about walking into a bridal salon, boutique, atelier, and feeling like you’ve truly walked into a celebrity’s world for the day. Really, who hasn’t dreamed about being a Taylor-Swift-level lauded pop star on Grammy’s night or a 20-something ingenue stepping out for her first Academy Award nomination? With a gorgeous gown on, a red carpet sprawled at your feet, and cameras flashing from every angle, you’re living your best life, right? Well, welcome to the Bridal Reflections experience: three beautifully-appointed wedding salons, located on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan and Massapequa and Carle Place on Long Island. You’ll get those Hollywood, high key vibes, without all the pressure and paparazzi, because who enjoys shopping with stalkers? Not me!

You’ll notice right away that these salons are immaculate - nearly all white, with gold accents and a stunning red carpet that snakes through each store, respectively. The business itself started in Massapequa four decades ago, and has evolved into a triple threat (with storefronts now in Carle Place and NYC) for tie-the-knot threads, specializing in bridal, evening wear, accessories, jewelry and dresses for the entire bridal party. The growth and sustainability of the stores truly speaks to the caliber of couture offered, along with the exceptional level of customer service, counsel and curation carried out by the teams inside. Whether you shop Allure Bridal, Watters or Galia Lahav House of Couture, your experience will be the same no matter what.

The friendly, well-informed staff takes special care to ensure every bride feels comfortable, unhurried and never bullied into selecting their dream dress. And it only helps that each location merchandises its gowns for a certain price point/range: $1,700 to $10,000 at Massapequa; $2,000 to $15,000 at Carle Place; $4,500 to $25,000 at NYC. If a bride knows her limit is less than $2,000, she can arrange her appointment in Massapequa and not have to worry about being tempted or tricked (yes, it happens) by budget-busting gowns. 🙌🙌🙌 SO. GOOD.

She can do her alterations at ANY of the locations, though, so her convenience is never overlooked - YAAAS

Obsessed? Us too. But that’s not all… Bridal Reflections NYC is having a Jessica Angel Bridesmaids Trunk Show on August 14th through the 19th. Offering 20% off on ALL JA bridesmaids gowns. If you haven’t heard of this brand, do some homework, because these dresses are beyond.

Every Jessica Angel gown is made in Los Angeles by a professional team of seamstresses under the tutelage of designer, Alice Aloy. The looks range in price between $400-$850 and are designed to make women feel confident, feminine, elegant, young and beautiful.

Schedule an appointment for the Manhattan trunk show, by phone, @ 212-764-3040.
