Kaitlyn and Taylor traveled from Seattle to Charleston for a destination wedding with their closest friends and family. Their wedding combined everything we love about a barn wedding, but with an edgy twist. Three Oaks Farm boasts a beautiful black barn, which was the perfect setting for some of Kaitlyn and Taylor's more unique details. From start to finish, every little detail was carefully thought out and beautifully executed.
Her dress was custom designed by Anamolie with the slightest hint of blue - the flower girls said she looked like Cinderella and it was absolutely stunning. Her maids donned pastel pink dresses, making for a light and airy palette that translated into the rest of the decor and design elements.
The amazing floral arrangements by Alli J Creative included dahlias, scabiosa, ranunculus, garden roses, amnesia roses, explosion grass, and blue tweedia were all locally sourced from Birmingham, Alabama. There was so much fun color and texture including the hand dyed silks in the bouquets.'
Three Oaks Farm in Georgia was a gorgeous setting and the weather couldn't have been better for a late September wedding. The barn was almost brand new, you can still smell the restored wood that they used on the walls when you walk inside. White drapes were hung about and added elegance to the barn. The table centerpieces had pictures from throughout K + T's relationship going all the way back to their high school friendship.
The Wedding Party
The reception was inside the barn with lawn games and a photo booth bus waiting outside the barn. The cakes were very unique - the center cake that they bride and groom cut into was beautifully done by Cakeitecture Bakery but the cakes that surrounded it were baked that morning by the groom's aunts so it was something very special to them.
About halfway through the evening, Steel City Pops showed up to cool everyone off from their dancing with their delicious popsicles. This was definitely a night to remember and I'm so thankful to have been a part of their wedding day!
