The Ultimate Dessert Bar by Alchemy Fine Events
For this luxury La Jolla beachy-chic wedding with Asian influences by Alchemy Fine Events, the couple knew they did not want a typical cake cutting ceremony, but the bride told us about her husband’s sweet tooth and still wanted to surprise him with amazing desserts. So to really knock it out of the ballpark, we didn’t create just one dessert table, but an entire secret dessert room!!
Closed off from all guests until later on in the evening, the grand revealing exposed a 16-foot dessert bar featuring five custom designed tiered cakes among an array of delicious miniature treats all arranged on lucite trays. To further spruce it up, we designed an Asian-inspired laser cut piece that was affixed to the front of the dessert bar and then had Sweet & Saucy replicate the design onto some of their delicious cookies.
To continue the sugar rush, a display of warm, delectable flavored cookies from The Cravory tempted guests while an old-fashioned copper cappuccino machine lured them to the other end of the room for a hot beverage. Along the way, guests were greeted by bell jars filled with tons of Old-fashioned candies, from gummy bears to oversized gumballs.
The sugar fix continued to the outdoor patio where Sweet Lucie’s ice cream cart dished out their best flavors and a warm donut station produced fresh pastries right in front of your eyes. As if this wasn't enough, we even had Cucina Urbana tray pass milk & cookie shots to the guests off of carrara white marble trays.
On their way out, guests then had the opportunity to grab a silver chinese take-out box and stock up on their favorite goodies to satisfy their sweet tooth during the wee hours of the night!
