Over the last few, pandemic-framed years, we’ve written SO much in the way of ‘’less is more.’’ Microweddings, simple ceremonies, unique nuptials stories underscored by love and love alone. And we’ve been here 👏 for 👏 it 👏 at every turn. But now that we’re coasting into a new year, we’re excited to see some nuances in that age-old phrase - less is more. The newest collection from modern bridal atelier, Eva Lendel, Less is More 2022, introduces us to gowns, jumpsuits, and short and midi-length dress designs that are stunning and special in their own right and that embrace a minimalism that, at its core, refers to the pure delight of being a woman. Sixty-three magnificent wedding dresses of diverse styles and materials define a collection that can literally make every bride fall in love when she finds the one that celebrates her one-of-a-kind version of womanhood.
Our obsession with Eva Lendel began a long time ago
Eva Lendel launched in 2015, so the brand is still in its youth, but that’s okay because its vision has been strong and steadfast from the beginning. The Eva Lendel bride is a modern girl who follows the latest fashion trends, likes to experiment, and can make an original and innovative decision about the look for their wedding day based on contemporary fashion cues and personalized interpretations of femininity. And the brand certainly has a leg up on the competition, because its fresh perspective is independent of already established canons of wedding fashion. Eva Lendel makes its own rules and the rebelliousness is invigorating, to say the least!
Didn’t the brand do less is more before?
Yes. Less is More has been a staple epithet of Eva Lendel for a few years, representing a curation of basic classics with trendy accents and laces (all simple, all to fit each body type and unique beauty of the bride-to-be), but here’s where the 2022 ‘minimalism’ compares.
“She got inspired by classics, but wanted to add a hint of her own modern vision. She wanted to look elegant and graceful, radiating the fragile energy of female essence. Her glance was confident and her moves expressed sophistication. She - is the brand new Eva Lendel Less is More 2022 bride. With its flowing lightness and iconic details, the new collection was created to emphasize the pure delight of being a woman. The perfect minimalism that has been attributed to the previous Less is More collections now becomes enriched with special sense and spirit.
The new Less is More 2022 collection by Eva Lendel consists of 63 magnificent wedding gowns of diverse styles and materials. The collection introduces 20 A-line gowns, 29 mermaid styles, 7 lush ball gowns, 2 jumpsuits and 5 midi-length dresses. In spite of all the gowns being united with the mutual undertone of the collection, every single one is unique in its own way. The special attention is paid to the detachable elements: capes, trains, overskirts and boleros. The gowns of the collection are featured with lightweight smooth fabrics, volumetric elements, rich 3D lace decorations as well as a wide variety of shapes and silhouettes.”
These three dresses epitomize what is meant by less is more in the ‘22
They all have a lot of interest, from their shapes to their flow, but they’re simple because they let a bride’s beauty shine above everything else.
The mermaid-style sheath dress is entirely decorated with beads and sequins. The off-shoulder neckline bares the décolleté and the long, semi-transparent sleeves are also covered with sparkling embellishments. The fantastic overskirt made of numerous layers of tulle has a long train and is fastened at the waistline. And the marvelous neckline on the back of the dress enhances the look’s feminine essence.
The A-line wedding gown is a frothy delight of lightweight, ethereal fabric. The dress features lowered shoulders fashioned into a draped corset with a décolleté wrap that runs to the back. A wide waistband made of the same fabric and tied into a bow accentuates the bride's figure, while the exquisite and volumetric skirt translates into a long train.
The mermaid-style column gown is confectioned out of glossy satin and decorated with draping on the corset and under the waistline. The strapless corset features a fantastic V-neckline, and the skirt can be tailored into two distinct looks: a straight sheath and an A-line style with the addition of the overskirt. The additional skirt is fixed at the waist and has an edgy asymmetric cut.
