Sapphire Engagement Rings Aren’t Just for September Babes

Sapphire Engagement Rings Aren’t Just for September Babes Rings:

Okay, chicks, so there have been quite a few celebrity engagements swirling around this season, and usually we come to expect the rings will be diamonds - because #tradition, sparkle, etc. - but guess what? They’re not. Nope! Instead, we’ve been seeing a lot of sapphires as of late, and they’re delivering on all the drama a trendy engagement ring brings to the table. We spoke with EraGem, a fine jewelry company specializing in previously-owned pieces from ALL the eras, and realized that these guys speak sapphire. Truly. If you’ve been thinking about a sapphire ring, but need a little ammo to make it a reality, then make sure you scroll on through. And maybe even send your partner a link… “whoops, wrong person, meant to send this to XX, she’s all about sapphires, sorry babe!” Fingers crossed he or she reads between the lines!

Celeb-spiration.

We’re not kidding when we say that sapphires have a certain degree of sovereignty and star power. According to EraGem, sapphire engagement rings have been used for weddings since the 1880's and have presently been gaining major popularity. Blue sapphire is the traditional birthstone of September and is very durable ((it’s #2 to diamonds on a hardness scale)), making a sapphire ring suitable for everyday wear - from a functional perspective. But from the fashion perspective, if you’re seen out with a sapphire engagement ring, you’re in a legendary league of your own. Next to the likes of Duchess Kate ((and the late Princess Diana, of course, these iconic women gave the sapphire its royal, resplendent status)) and, most recently, This Is Us’s Susan Kelechi Watson and actress and comedian, Jenny Slate.

That blue is beyond.

That rich vintage vibe, though...

Both of these ladies got engaged in the last month, and have been showing off their sapph e-ring style ever since. We can’t blame them, their rings are gorgeous - and neither of the two have September birthdays… so it obvi has much more to do with the allure of the beguiling blue hue.

EraGem has all the something old and something blue for you.

For the color-loving bride-to-be, or the one who just wants to wear something punchier than pure white, EraGem has an extensive selection of beautiful blue-green sapphires - specifically the Montana sapphire rings set in vintage and modern mountings. Not only that, the brand offers similarly-stunning pink and yellow sapphires, too, so that entire 🌈 spectrum is on-point.

We picked out some of our EraGem favorites, and had a ton of fun, too. Note that none of the stones look the same, and that’s what is so amazing about a sapphire - it’s special. Diamonds are too, no doubt, but a sapphire has a little something extra....

Starting with that royal kind of look
