Rustic Chic Wedding Welcomes Fall And The Harvest Moon

Rustic Chic Wedding Welcomes Fall And The Harvest Moon

Lindsay wanted their Rustic Chic Wedding Welcomes Fall And The Harvest Moon to be full of details that brought the whole day together, representing them as a couple. She and Kyle decided together that they wanted to take the details and incorporate them into a fun, stylish and unique event for their family and friends.

Knowing that their wedding was taking place at the end of the summer, beginning of the fall, they wanted to make sure the colors reflected the time of year and the weather, and they nailed it! There are so man more details waiting to be seen in the full gallery, photographed by Jessica Miccio Photography.

Harvest Moon Details To Complete The DAY

For flowers we accented the bridal party's dress with deep burgundy dahlias, cream roses and succulents to represent my family in Arizona. These flowers carried over into our ceremony with an archway of our flowers and cloth drapery and the dinner and reception where our flowers were gathered into gold brushed dishes surrounded by moss and greenery. When learning that the night of our September 16 would be a Harvest Moon, I knew that we needed to incorporate this into our wedding. I began with our hashtag #walkersoverthemoon, then added small details like our “To the moon and back” lanterns and moon drink stirrers. At the end of the night, to tie in the full moon detail, we gave each of our guests the gift of a moon pie. A sweet treat to enjoy under the light of the moon.

Lawn Games To Make Your Day UNIQUE

We knew from the moment we stepped foot on the grounds of the Highlands Country Club that we wanted to have lawn games at our wedding. The small courtyard next to where we had our ceremony was the perfect location for some unique entertainment for our guests. We decided on our games early on – corn hole, giant jenga, giant connect four and ring toss – all personalized with our colors and our names, with help from my ultra-talented bridesmaid, owner of A Piece of Sandwich. The games were a huge hit at the wedding from the cocktail hour until the wee hours of the night.

Advice From The Bride: Enjoy It!

Enjoy every moment and don't take things too seriously! This was something that Kyle (my now husband) told me many times during our engagement. Imperfection can be perfection! There is a lot to get caught up in throughout the day - just take a deep breath and take it all in.  And a little tidbit that can help with this - don't try to control everything.  Empower your family and bridal party to help out with tasks on your special day. I did forget to bring an essential undergarment to the venue where I was getting ready with my bridesmaids.  Thank goodness for a few of our amazing groomsmen who saved the day and brought it to me in record time.
