Rue De Seine’s New Collection Is Making Us Giddy [Up]

We won’t lie, it takes a very special bride to throw on cowboy boots with a wedding gown and absolutely freakin own it. Not many can do it without looking like a cliché - and we mean that in the most sensitive way possible. I don’t even have a pair of my own, but I can say, with confidence, that even with skinny jeans and some sort of paisley peasant blouse or a plaid button down, if I tried to rock some cowboy boys - I’d be trying WAY too hard. There’s something truly magical about a girl who can wear ALL the turquoise jewelry, a velvet hat, and boots and look like her best self, bar none. She’s who we envision in this brand new collection from Rue De Seine: Moonrise Canyon.

The muse

"Moonrise Canyon is a salute to our wild at heart brides. A vibrant celebration of those who have been bitten by wanderlust, moved by music, driven by love, and inspired by art.

The earthy sandstone palette of the Southwest inspires this season’s custom prints and embroideries. Elements of texture, sun kissed tints, and golden flourishes evoke soft, dreamlike days and warm summer nights. Moonrise Canyon is designed to stand out from the noise – a curious and playful collection, wild with colour and unabashedly romantic.

Saddle up lovers, let’s embrace the spirit of unknown lands, dusty trail rides and ever-changing movement with a swirl of our fringe and a click of our boots."

This isn’t the brand’s first rodeo, either…

Chicks, we’ve been fangirls of Rue De Seine for years now, and know that they have the bohemian bride thirsts completely taken care of. They know how to enliven and inspire even the most spirited brides, and we are so excited to see who chooses to traverse this moonrise canyon; they’ll be goddesses, no doubt.

Goddesses who go wild for color, too. That’s probably our favorite part of this 20-piece couture collection, that the gowns aren’t just a given in milky white or ivory. There’s something blue, something black, something g[old], and something with spice lace that literally has us thinking about spiced coffee and campfire cinnamon rolls. Random, we know, but they’re reminiscent of early morning adventure, and isn’t this collection all about fueling the wanderlusters among us?! Hell yes.

We have favorites, [las]so let's get to it.

Obvi we can’t learn about a new collection and not talk about our most-loved looks, so here are seven of our SO-GOOD-WE-CAN’T-EVEN picks. Definitely peruse the full stable of styles, though, because like the ‘swirl of their fringe and the click of their boots,’ we’re pretty carefree, and these dresses take us wherever the wind blows… From Arizona to Jackson, Little Rock to Sedona.

Harvest Moon

Rue De Seine’s New Collection Is Making Us Giddy [Up]

If you're looking for a wedding dress that's as wild and romantic as a full moon rising on a warm autumn night, the Harvest Moon gown could be the one. Inspired by the Neil Young love song, this kaftan silhouette is cut from the dreamiest, custom-designed broderie anglaise, with a full handkerchief skirt that gives a glimpse of skin at the ankles. Full sleeves in a delicate chiffon with crochet hem complete this boheme style.

Blue Bayou

For your something blue, look no further than your gown itself. Blue Bayou uses a mix of their new season Rue blue floral print, alongside openwork lace and cotton trim. The full silk skirt floats beautifully off the body with movement. Placement lines flatter the figure from every angle while billowy sleeves and printed fringe keep the gown playful, youthful, and fun.

Sequoia

The Sequoia gown is ideal for brides who want to show off their figure on their big day. Panels of their embroidered mesh wrap carefully around the body, with a form fit around the bust, waist and hip. Openwork lace skirt brings femininity and romance to Sequoia, while a plunging neckline maintains a chic overall aesthetic.

Tulsa Rose

Openwork cotton crochet is used alongside embroidered mesh to create a truly bohemian and unique gown typical of Rue. Deep V neck is well balanced with fitted raglan sleeves, which flare from the elbow. Tassel fringe drapes elegantly across the sleeve and the back creating ethereal soft movement. Medium fullness in the skirt and train keeps the Tulsa Rose light and ethereal.

Presley

With a unique mix of plain crepe and graphic chevron lace, Presley is designed for modern bohemian brides who are looking for a refined aesthetic with edge. Clean lines are balanced with a full circle skirt, to bring the drama. A fitted bodice with side cut outs and edging trim showcases the smallest part of the body, while a full skirt and train balance the gathered blouson sleeves.

Monterey

A beaded gown with a difference, Monterey cuts a new and fresh halter neck silhouette, with a dramatic and full skirt from the low hip point. Rue's western-inspired appliqué fabric is designed to hit the body at specific points, to create a bold graphic design – softened by the sequins and beads used. Ombre fringe is carefully draped over the body to accentuate the shape of the body.

Dolly

Designed for a bride who doesn’t shy away from the spotlight, Dolly is all about the drama, while maintaining a chic and flattering silhouette. The golden glitter fabric does all the talking, without stealing thunder from the beautiful bride. This custom lace is lightweight enough for the bride to spend all night dancing, while she shimmers in the spotlight.

Check everything out and if you find yourself daydreaming about the desert, craving captures with cacti, or hugging all the horses, you might just want to make it out to one of Rue De Seine’s U.S. trunk shows through the end of September. **Review the site for respective boutique addresses.
