Reflections of Fall Wedding Inspiration

deep red and white bouquet

Airy, open, inviting, and warm, The Cordelle is a venue that feels like home as soon as you walk in the doors. You want to throw a party and invite all your closest friends and family. These sentiments inspired the creation of a story for a bride who embodies these characteristics, someone who is warm, open, and finds the joy in the people around her.
From dip dyed muslin accents to handwritten pieces, the hand of the maker can always be seen in these ideas reflecting a fall color palette. More dreamy inspiration awaits you in the full gallery here, captured by Austin Gros Photography.

On the handmade details

Everything she does, she does with care. She spends hours dip dying squares of muslin, imagining precious friends and family laughing and sharing a glass of sangria. A watercolor invitation suite is thoughtfully sent. She includes a note about the history of The Cordelle, a little bit of insight into her inspiration. She is the ever caring host, who knows how a handmade touch communicates her affection for her guests. Her sincerity shows in every detail, as the bouquet and each boutonniere are carefully wrapped in torn scraps of dyed muslin. The raw edges add the texture needed to make it perfectly imperfect. Raw edges of muslin contrast against the feminine, delicate dresses. Paired with a modern silhouette, soft beading and embellishments shine, simple, and unexpected.

The casual tables ensure her friends and family can relax and spread out, enjoying all the evening brings. Hand dyed indigo napkins with gold cutlery, layered over homemade place mats bring modern simplicity to the historical space. A carefully handwritten name on a slate tile welcomes each guest to his or her seat. The flowers reflect her everyday aesthetic: open, relaxed, but modern. Her centerpieces are organic and airy, just as she might construct at home. The textured stone vessel houses an arrangement composed of unruly greens, big blooms, cascading pods, and a structured protea. There is a trace of her hands at every turn. The evening ends in long hugs and sweet goodbyes. Her intentional details create lasting memories of her thoughtfulness long after everyone has bid farewell.
