The Tower Suite

The tower suite at the Gladstone Hotel was such a beautiful backdrop for the bride's getting ready photos. This one-of-a-kind story hotel room feels more like an apartment. This bride drew inspiration from 1960's Hollywood for her bridal look and feel created by Allyssa Helm. She looked like a Hollywood starlet from decades past with her bright red lip, rolled waves and, Lea-Ann Belter bright white trumpet gown.

Her more muted reception look, with cowl neck column gown, hair up and a nude lip, was a little lower maintenance and worked beautifully for the wedding's dancing and merriment portion. The groom wore a pastel blue jacket for the ceremony to tie into the colorful balloon arch but donned a traditional tux for a lot of the couple's photos.

Below you can see the balloon arch ceremony. The décor is tied into the 2nd-floor gallery of the hotel. This portion of the hotel often features over the top installations from local artists! This out-there altar looked quite at home in the space.

Tropical Wedding Inspiration

We had a goal to incorporate flower alternatives into the wedding reception and decided to forego flowers on the guest tables. The head tables were the only tables with centerpieces.

We also created a flower-free ceremony space, aside from the bouquet and boutonniere. This was budget-friendly, but also unique. We used flowers to tie the color scheme together but were careful not to use them as the cornerstone of all décor.

The palm chargers, gold flatware, and blue water-goblets tied in the color palette into the guest tables. To top it all off, brightly colored tapered candles set the mood.

HISTORIC WEDDING VENUE

The historic art-focused Gladstone Hotell worked as such a fitting background for this couple’s nuptials! With its ever-changing art-installations, no two visits to this hotel are ever the same.

It fit flawlessly into the colorful, eclectic vision for this wedding with its impressive collection of one-of-a-kind rugs, artwork, and installations.

To work with this eclectic backdrop, we drew the color inspiration from tropical plants, such as palm trees and papayas, and worked in vibrant pinks through the stationary and candles. Gold accents brought just a little bit of elegance to the overall theme.

The goal was to create something very fun and outside the box. Mod fashion was a big inspiration for the wedding details such as -the plexiglass menus and the geometric wedding invitations.
