You're allowed to be picky with your guest list

I can't think of anything I would have done differently. I wanted a decent amount of people to attend but still wanted it to feel intimate. I wanted a wedding filled with people we both know and love. I didn't want to meet anyone new at my wedding. We picked a beautiful private home and had the exact wedding that we wanted to have. One suggestion is to really take your time when picking the photographer. There are so many different photographers especially in a large metropolitan who have many different styles and price points. As soon as I saw Ashley's pictures, I knew she was the one! The food will be eaten, the flowers will die, but the pictures will last a lifetime!

About the venue

Hilltop House is a Philadelphia wedding venue that sits atop approximately 23 acres of picturesque hillside including formal gardens, apple orchards, sloping meadows and wetlands. Hilltop House is an elegant 200-year-old farmhouse, converted for public use in 2005. Its large rooms and multiple entryways provide easy traffic flow throughout the interior, porches, terraces, and gardens. As you can see from Christina and Joseph's wedding the grounds are nothing but picturesque.

planners are worth it

Overall we spent a little more than $70k for everything. Our biggest splurge was our wedding planner, Cassandre Snyder, who was absolutely invaluable. We honestly had the most beautiful, thoughtful, stress-free wedding because of her. If you can get a great wedding planner - do it!
