Amanda and Danny had one of the most beautifully rustic country weddings at a historic home and farm, The Ivy Place, in Lancaster, South Carolina. Every detail from their centerpieces of classic novels with their well loved pages to their handmade laundry line seating chart was well thought out and artfully arranged. What could possibly go wrong?

The Perks Of A Light Drizzle
They said their "I do's" in a field beneath a centuries old tree with their friends and family. Some might have been upset by the light drizzle and overcast skies, but the light was perfect and the rain let up just enough for us to snap some amazing photos. The food was perfection and the drinks flowed as these two celebrated their first memories as husband and wife. What an amazing evening surrounded by their family and friends celebrating one of the greatest moments of their lives and we were thrilled to be there to capture it!
The Perfect Disaster
Our wedding day was a disaster. It rained, my shoes sunk into the mud all the way down the isle so my dad had to hold me up, the guitarist who was playing the ceremony music arrived only minutes before the ceremony started, forgot to stop playing music when I got to the alter and then forgot to start playing music again for my husband and I to walk back down the isle and exit. On top of that, we couldn't figure out how to bustle my dress, my shoes stretched out from being wet and I had to wear flip flops, and they forgot to leave food for us in our cottage so we were starving after the wedding. Everything went wrong but we loved every second of it and wouldn't have changed a thing!

We actually made almost all of our decorations. A lot of the flowers such as the ones laying on the books and the ones on the Bride and Groom table were paper flowers we made. We made the bar, the seating chart sign frames, photo booth station, direction signs (reception, photo booth, games, ceremony), wedding arch to walk through down the isle, Menu sign, drink signs, table numbers, eucalyptus wreath and flower arrangement on the Bride and Groom table, cornhole and ring toss. Most of our wedding decorations are available on our Etsy store, The Blue Pallet.
