All we wanted under the Christmas tree was Christian Grey, shirtless, with a big red bow around his neck, but we’ll settle for what we got. The Fifty Shades Freed official Twitter account and Insta pages posted a photo yesterday, giving fans everywhere a sneak peek of the Mr. & Mrs. sharing their first dance together. With noses nearly touching, hands clasped, and a very obvious wedding band in plain sight, Anastasia and Christian look like the most gorgeous bride and groom there ever was. And happy? Yah, they must be, because blissful ignorance is the only way we’d be able to rationalize why Ana wasn’t throwing down with that ill-dressed wedding guest in white. Seriously. Who does that?
The animated photo didn’t give too much away about the Valentine’s Day release, aside from the glitz and glamorous reception ambiance and some of the couple’s most adoring shippers, including Christian’s parents, sister, Mia (Rita Ora), in a short red dress, (she must have taken a page out of Cardi B.’s red dress code play book), and Ana’s bestie, Kate (Eloise Mumford), in a fun floral print. But, it’s enough to satisfy us for the next month or so, especially since we get a more full-fledged look at Ana’s dress (get the look), which wasn’t totally shown off in the first movie trailer that came out in November. Now, we know that she wears a STUNNING lace mermaid gown that every confident and super sexy bride will be daydreaming about for the foreseeable future.
The same ones who are probably already stalking Meghan Markle’s newest bridal gown designer muse, Inbal Dror.
Really, the silhouette should be renamed the Ana, because she wears the hell out of it. The tattoo lace is amazing, sharing little glimpses of her skin - classically Ana demure. The off-the-shoulder neckline shows off her décolletage and pairs flawlessly with her porcelain complexion. And the covered buttons all the way down her back draw attention to her some of her best assets, all the while being trendy and tasteful. We’re absolutely obsessed with Ana’s aisle style, and love that she remains true to her signature simple style and coy choices of couture. We can’t wait to see how her wedding day bridal beauty looks will unfold, but until then, we’ve rounded up some superb bridal gowns to bookmark if Ana Steele is your spirit animal. These gowns are everything, by the way.
