Monet's Multi-Colored Garden Wedding Inspiration for Spring

by:

garden inspired wedding shoot

Spring is finally in the air, which means spring weddings are about to start popping up like daisies! To celebrate this much-needed warm up, we're kicking the season off a little early with this gorgeous shoot inspired by Claude Monet's own garden, and you don't have to travel all the way to Giverny, France to attend.

Madeline Moore Events + a team of creatives pulled it all together at The Monet Vineyards in Washington and used a rainbow of color to create a whimsical spring vibe throughout that's both fresh and fun! Read more about the design below, and check out the full gallery from Lauryn Kay Photography.

This shoot was inspired by Claude Monet's garden in Giverny, France just as the venue itself was. Monet Vineyards, the site of our shoot, is a special and beautiful old-world-inspired estate that transports any visitor overseas with its beauty and incredible design. In keeping with our location, we sought to transport our bride and groom into a bright and color-filled world of floral delicacy and technicolored beauty.

In keeping with our inspiration, every corner of our tablescape was created with meaning and intention just as Monet's own garden was. Monet created flower beds of different heights, colors, seasonality and texture which is exactly what we wanted to portray here. Monet himself did not like organized or constrained gardens but instead preferred gardens with freedom and movement which is why we let ours run wild in our tablescape. Monet married flowers and constructed his garden according to their color tones and left them to grow rather freely which is exactly what we did with our tablescape.

The lush floral runner was also carried over into the bridal bouquet as well as the beautiful cake designed by Dream Cakes and flowered by Madeline Moore events whose intention was to make every side unique and special. We chose rentals that would create depth within each of our color palettes. This meant selecting items like the amber goblet and contrasting with golds and lemons to truly show all sides of the color yellow. Exquisite watercolor-washed paper goods added the perfect final touch to our Monet inspiration.

We chose a bold, bright and whimsical rainbow-toned color gradient as our main design feature which complimented the stunning and verdant surroundings. The gown from Brides for a Cause is bouncy and full of movement while the bride's hair and makeup are softly romantic yet effortless--brilliantly executed by Tiffany Randolph Beauty. Our bride and groom share sweet moments cuddling up next to the table but also take time to play in the vineyards, frolicking between rows of grapes.
