Modern Los Angeles Industrial Wedding at The Line Hotel

Modern Los Angeles Industrial Wedding

An unexpected change of venue could have sent any couple into a tailspin, but not these two! They picked up their wedding plans and moved them on over to the chic LA Line Hotel, and it couldn't have worked out any better! The modern minimalist design worked beautifully with the understated luxe vibe they already had going with their wedding design. From the groom's slip-on velvet loafers to the bride's sexy little white dress, this couple exudes cool kid vibes!

They trusted Amber Events as their day-of coordinator to make sure that everything went smoothly and that everyone had a great time! The Flower Lab created minimalist floral arrangements that added a bit of romance to the hotel's industrial design. Karina Santos played with contrast in these edgy wedding photos to bring in that moody LA vibe. You can see all of the photos from this wedding in the full gallery. Keep scrolling to read more from Karina Santos about this fun-filled day.

A SLIGHT CHANGE OF PLANS...AND VENUE

Modern Los Angeles Industrial Wedding

Bride Kate and groom Alex, like many couples, were forced to change their wedding plans due to the pandemic. They opted for a smaller wedding than they had originally planned, and they had to choose an entirely different wedding venue as well. The pair ended up opting for the Los Angeles hotel, The Line, and it turned out to be such a perfect location for the pair to say their “I do’s.” The wedding invites, done by freelance artist Iesa Mcreynolds, perfectly captured the minimalist vibes of the hotel wedding.

LUXE LOOKS FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM

The wedding day started with the couple getting all dolled up in their respective getting-ready spaces. Alex wore a classic black tux by Hall Madden and a pair of slip-on shoes by Duke And Dexter. His father helped him get ready, and it was so sweet to see the connection between the two on such a special day. Bride Kate looked stunning in her natural glam makeup look, done by Kendal Lopez. Micki Lewallen of Sublime Salon did her simple wavy bridal hairstyle. After hair and makeup, Kate put on her gorgeous off-the-shoulder mermaid-style wedding dress from Bride + Bustle by designer Matthew Christopher. Her adorable baby pink heels were by Manolo Blahnik. The icing on the cake for her look was her gorgeous jewelry by David Yurman, Roberto Coin, and Nicole Bathie.

CHAMPAGNE AND DANCING

The couple’s day-of coordinator, Amber of Amber Events, did an amazing job getting the day to run smoothly. After getting ready, the couple headed out to the rooftop ceremony space to exchange vows and rings. Their wedding bands are by Lester Lampert, and Kate’s engagement ring is by La Bijouterie. Kate and Alex finally officially tied the knot in a beautiful and emotional ceremony. After the ceremony, we snuck in some bride and groom portraits in the hotel’s greenhouse, and then headed over to the reception space. The design was beautifully decorated with florals from The Flower Lab, and signage done by the bride herself! The reception dinner was so much fun! Kate and Alex even had a champagne pyramid…it doesn’t get much better than that! After toasts, a delicious dinner, and lots of laughter, we took a few more portraits inside the hotel.

A SWEET SEND-OFF

The night ended with a cake-cutting ceremony and dancing the night away. The simple wedding cake was by Kate’s friend Valerie, as were the petit fours…these were a special touch, because (fun fact) Kate’s parents had the same dessert at their wedding back in the day! The cute little macaroons that guests also enjoyed were done by The Foxy Kitchen. This was a perfect wedding day for an even more perfect couple.
