When the groom is the Chef at a famous beachside restaurant, you better believe that the food is going to be incredible! This couple moved together to Romania and decided to tie the knot in a micro-wedding on the beach near the groom's restaurant. They went with a modern boho theme to blend with the beachy scenery. Pampas grass lined the aisle as Aleksandra walked to meet her soon-to-be husband in a slinky lace dress with a billowing chiffon cape that caught the sea breeze.
Irina Marculescu helped this couple plan a wedding that was intimate and truly about them. These boho florals by Atelier Interesart carried the theme beautifully from the ceremony at Crama Rasova to the reception space, Crazy Beach Restaurant. We love the movement in these photos by Mada Stoica, especially the ones of the bubble send-off! To make sure they captured every moment from their special day, the couple hired Csart Film to get it all on film. To see more from this beautiful beachy wedding, check out the full gallery. AN INTIMATE BEACH CEREMONY
Chef Alex met his beautiful wife Aleksandra in the UK through his work and, after two years of collaborating on his restaurant, he finally dared to ask her out. Their love story unfolded and here they are, having a precious little boy and celebrating their wedding in Romania, on the seaside, in a famous beach restaurant where Alex is Chef during the summer season. They both wanted a small wedding of no more than 40 people. It was planned in two distinct and special locations. The marriage ceremony took place on the hills of a vineyard outside the city, with the decor almost matching the scenery, and the sunset poured its warm light over the entire setup. The guests witnessed a teary emotional "I do" session that peaked with a bubble send-off for the newlyweds.
While the couple enjoyed a lovely photo and video session, the guests had a great time tasting local food and wine on the hills and chillin' over live Jazz music from Romania's Got Talent finalist, Elena Gatcin. Later on, the party was held at the beach restaurant where the whole design concept was elegance–lush pampas florals and lots of wood decor for a "close to nature" look. A single long table, with lit candles, black accents for edginess, imposing floral arrangements, and a silky white runner welcomed the guests arriving from the ceremony, inviting them to sit and enjoy the custom menu made by the groom and his team. The party was unleashed with the couple's romantic first dance and continued with good vibes from the resident DJ, filled with 80s, 90s, and modern tunes. At midnight the sweet surprise–the simple and elegant wedding cake was accompanied by fireworks in the sky for a sparkly finish to the party.
HOW TO PLAN YOUR OWN MICRO-WEDDING
As a wedding planner, together with my colleagues, I witnessed the changes in the wedding market over the past two years. It has been completely redefined by our times in terms of attendance, investment, and style. Small gatherings, micro-weddings, and elopements depict the best of their love story, have both intimacy and entertainment, making everything more unforgettable. If you are considering a cozy party, make a list with the details that matter the most for you, and make sure you customize as many aspects as possible. Guests will adore your well-themed event!
