Make Your Wedding Colors Sing By Ditching The Greenery In Your Florals

Love in Dalat

Set in the mystical woods of Da Lat in Vietnam, this dreamy editorial is giving us some serious Snow White vibes! We love a woodland backdrop for a ceremony.  The rich browns of the trees make this all-red floral arch sing, the entire setting looks like something straight out of a fairytale. To amp up the romance, they dressed the bride in a stunning tiered tulle gown with a flutter sleeve and corseted bodice, and a dramatic red lip to match the florals. After exchanging their vows the couple set off on an intimate boat ride on the glass-like lake.

Bayla Vietnam Destination Wedding Planner organized this dreamy shoot. The goal was to showcase the unique beauty of Da Lat, and it's safe to say we're obsessed! Kien's Collection took these moody photos and made sure that the red really popped against the dark backdrop. Keep scrolling to read more from Bayla Vietnam Destination Wedding Planner about why each design element works so well with the surroundings and make sure to check out the full gallery for even more inspiration!

A GEM IN THE WILDERNESS

Love in Dalat

Da Lat is widely known as the City of Eternal Spring. People said that Da Lat has all four seasons in one day: spring in the morning, summer at noon, autumn in the afternoon, and winter at night–beautiful from dusk till dawn. Thao and Nam came to Da Lat late in December. Even in the shivering winter cold, Da Lat is still attractive, as it has always been in its very own way. Foggy weather, a remote area deep inside the enchanted pine woods, Da Lat, is like a nomadic love song of the mountains, the forest, making the toughest hearts melt. It seems that Da Lat and the cold make people want someone to be there by their side. Someone to love.

THE COLOR OF LOVE

Love in Dalat

Attractive. Classy. Sexy. Passionate. That’s what everyone thinks about the red/burgundy palette. Symbolizing ambition, power, and, of course, passionate love, burgundy is a deep reddish-brown shade inspired by wine from the Burgundy region of France. Using a combination of burgundy tones with multiple types of flowers and leaves, even some rare species with elaborate names like the red mokara orchid, protea, scabiosa, and calla lily, adding some light pink roses to create highlights, we created an alluring flower gate for Thao and Nam’s photoshoot. This majestic red/burgundy tone on the foggy, isolated pine woods canvas brought out the enchanted vibes of Da Lat forest.

A WORLD FOR ONLY TWO

Love in Dalat

The scene looks like a secret retreat into Wonderland–a parallel romantic world with only the couple, Thao and Nam. Overlooking a river and several gentle slopes of the pine hills faraway, a table for two has been set. Still using the majestic red/burgundy tone, we added moss on the surface so that the table scene is more connected to the scenic view. Some taper candles with antique candle holders have also been used to make the scene more classy and sophisticated.
