Luxury Modern and Muted Micro Wedding Inspiration

Inspired by dried flowers, soft linens and a muted color palette, this incredible England based wedding team of vendors wanted to create beautiful inspiration for couples opting for a micro wedding but not compromising on the feeling of luxury. We initially drew inspiration for this styled shoot from the ideas of soft linens, beautiful dried flowers, and a muted colour palette, with it all to come together with a French tropical luxe feel. We knew from the beginning we’d love a location filled with light to give an airiness to the photographs, that’s what drew us to Glemham Hall Orangery. We photographed both the tablescape and the ceremony set up in the Glemham Hall Orangery because we wanted to create an intimate feel to the photos and share some micro wedding inspiration for couples planning their weddings. The beautiful grounds of the venue are accessible through the Orangery, and just a short walk away you’ll find yourself immersed in the scent of roses in the rose garden.

Eimear from Perch and Plume Designs had us swooning over the stationery she created for the shoot and she really paid attention to the smallest of details, from the touches of blush silk ribbons, torn edges on the card, soft grasses, wax seals, watercolour paintings and beautiful typeface. The finished stationery suite inspired floral choices on the day and the delicate sugarcraft flowers by Kerry Anns Cake Boutique on the cake.

The tableware provided by CMA Hire had subtle hints of gold in the cutlery and glassware tying together a warm tropical feel across the tablescape. Complimenting the tableware was the elegant calligraphy on the champagne bottle, engraved by Leigh Calligraphy, what a wonderful keepsake this would make for newlyweds. The tablescape was elegantly styled by Victoria from Party Squared and we also used her props throughout the different setups, including the statement cake hoop.

The cake was inspired by the light and bright qualities of the shoot and included a mix of handcrafted sugar flowers and dried flowers to create a soft contrast again the tiers. Between the bottom and third-tier, Kerry Anns Cake Boutique used an acrylic tier to allow the light to flow through the cake. The cake table was styled with hints of gold in the candle holders, cake hoop and the linens softened the look.

Our florist, Elise from Hedges and Flowers created all the beautiful arrangements plastic/foam-free, instead opting for wire which is a more eco-friendly approach to floristry. The beauty of using dried flowers on a wedding day is that they can be kept after the event and for example, the bouquet could be displayed in a vase and enjoyed for many years to come. The mix of dried and fresh flowers together created an ethereal, dreamy look.

When it came to the hair and makeup of our lovely model Cathy, Emily from Emily Chantal Makeup kept a beautiful soft natural look, emphasising the eyes, with subtle golden tones and a giving a pop of colour with a beautiful peach lip. With the hairstyling, Charlotte from Hair So Boho decided on the style first by choosing one of PS With Love'se beautiful hair accessories (hairpiece used was the ‘Serena Hair Vine’ and the matching earrings were ‘Hydrangea’) and then creating a relaxed updo with loose curls to compliment the flow of the dress.

The dreamy gown worn by Cathy was supplied by Blush Bride and is a Willow by Water dress. We loved the detailing on the dress and the nude colour of the underskirt, feeling it went with the whole look of the shoot. The suit worn by Will was supplied by Jack Bunneys was a really classy 3-piece with a great finish.
