Life is just one big workshop. We find ourselves learning from everyone around us and somedays we happen to find ourselves being the studied subjects. That analogy sort of fell apart there at the end, but what I am trying to say is Life and love happens in weird and wonderful ways like this next wedding. Would you believe that this bride and her groom were the subjects of a photography workshop while they tied the knot! Oh and did we mention she use to attend this same workshop? Like I said, weird and wonderful!

Retreat Your Self
From Ashton Kelley Photography: Courtney had been one of the first to sign up for the March AKP Retreat. This traveling photographer's workshop was heading to NC, and as one of the ladies I had long been mentoring, she was quick to say "yes" to the opportunity. Flash forward a few months, her fiance would propose.
Let's Workshop This Wedding
Courtney reached out to our photography community and asked for fun places to elope. I joked they should do it during the workshop! She immediately responded that she LOVED the idea and we went to work. Our amazing vendor team came together and she and her now husband were married in front of our 20 attendees, who all had a chance to shoot parts of the day.
Can't Rain On This Parade
The couple was also joined by a close 20 guests, that joined us for a large reception dinner following the ceremony. Though it rained on the day of the wedding and we had to move everything inside, I think we retained the beachy vibes that OBX offers. The two beamed with happiness and it was truly an extraordinary experience!
