New and different, often fashionably so.
The Nouveau Collection by Barbara Kavchok pays homage to the light that came out of a dark past year. With splashes of color and unique textiles, each gown is a piece of wearable art. . . .
Bethlehem, PA-based designer Barbara Kavchok created the Nouveau Collection as a tribute to the light that came out of a dark past year. With splashes of color, unique textiles, and intricate details, this fully customizable collection is for the unapologetic, modern romantic.
Barbara believes fashion is the embodiment of artistic self-expression in which the bride participates, and in turn, becomes the art. She, and her close-knit team of women, imagine a world in which it is commonplace for people to express their feelings and individuality through high fashion couture, and that this luxury should not just be reserved for the rich and famous at red carpet events, but for all to enjoy at their wedding or special event.
The Nouveau Collection features artful designs such as Oasis: A tiered and ruffled tulle gown in an Ombre green and yellow paint effect as well as Demi: A classic, diamond white matte satin ball gown with pockets. Never putting herself in a stylized box, Barbara designs couture with every bride in mind.
Her pieces are seen as wearable sculpture that allows the bride to look and feel her best on her big day. Although based in historic Bethlehem, Barbara's little studio and bridal atelier is the home to gowns getting ready to be shipped all across the country. The BK brand believes fashion is fine art. It should not be disposable or unethically produced in factories. It should be cared for, paid attention to, and honored in a way that represents the individual adorning the piece.
Bridal or not, Barbara realizes her purpose is to create pieces of wearable art that encourage self-expression and creativity, inspire better versions of ourselves, and hold meaning behind every stitch. This IS Bridal.
